That Wayne Rosen Really Gets Around. By Geniusofdespair

Page from Steve Shiver's Will.

Remember all that golf course stuff going on in Hudstead with Wayne Rosen? Well this guy gets around. Here he is in Former Steve Shiver's 2006 Last Will and Testament, appointed as his Personal Representative and Trustee.  Steve Shiver was Former Opa Locka City Manager, Former Miami Dade County Manager, Former Hudstead Mayor, and Former owner of a cowboy reenactment theme park that went belly-up. I didn't know Steve Shiver and Wayne Rosen were that close. Shiver's will was submitted to the Ethics Department on another matter having to do with Councilman Steve Shelley.

OFF TOPIC, BUT STILL IN SOUTH DADE...

Is the rumor true that Lynda Bell was being considered as Village of Palmetto Bay's Village Manager? Come on. I heard that Councilwoman Karyn Cunningham and Vice Mayor John Dubois were all for it. Could that be true? Not you Karyn, you appeared to be normal when I met you. You are not that stupid....are you?  Anyone know if she is that stupid. I hope this is a rumor because I would be totally turned off to this lady. Bad enough she had Jose Luis Castillo run her campaign. He ran Lynda Bell's campaign too.

Once Jose Luis Castillo runs a campaign for any of these gals (from Palmetto and Cutler Bay he has at least 3 gals in office) they are likes zombies -- under his Svengali-like spell. He ain't looking so good lately packing on the pounds. Maybe that will break the ties that bind. Don't let him exploit you Southern Dade gals in government (he then lobbies them after they are elected). We are watching you all and your votes when he lobbies you.

Your news is definitely not meant for mainstream media but we have to know this information. Sadly this is the underbelly of Miami News.

Three of the last five elections show Wayne Rosen as an inactive voter in Coral Gables. Yet he has the moxie to finance candidates in places where he can't vote but has land holdings and business.
Somehow this needs to be investigated. Residents of those places are being reduced in power due to his superior influence through his donations.
Just ask Palmetto Bay and Homestead.

I didn't know Councilman Stephen Shelley's wife and Shiver were that close. Rosen and Shiver - that doesn't surprise me. And, we can assume Shelley, Shiver and Rosen are bosom buddies as well. Homestead peeps really do need to start taking a closer look at Shelley.

Shiver had to provide the will to the ethics commission when trying to have Shelley tossed out of the conversation regarding the bowling alley.
Shiver represented one of the parties interested.
I would bet Wayne Rosen did not want this made public.
I would also bet Homestead's city attorney did not want this made public. The lack of the disclosures being filed on these issues is appalling.
I suppose the lawyers will put the blame on the clerk again. How many Rosen items has Shelley voted on prior to the 2014 public airing of Shiver's will? Homestead is all one big wink and a nod.

What some people won't do to stay in politics.....So bad on so many levels.. Start with, clearly a friends and family appointment given the village isn't that hard to run most anyone could do it, but more to the point, the village needs to with "partner" with it's big brother, Miami-Dade County on so many issues I don't even know where to start...... and yet the point person the Village choses to "dialog with the District 8 commissioner" is the very district commissioner she ran against in one of the nastiest and most expensive campaigns in county history....Yeah, no bad blood there..... Bell, lied, cheated and stole her way though her 4 years in office and then her reelection campaign Now wants to go back to the BCC hat in hand? Does she really think she has any clout?

Excellent point made above. Why would Palmetto Bay choose Bell as their manager when there is little chance she would be able to successfully advocate for the Palmetto Bay community? But unfortunately at least 2, likely 3 of the council members are under the influence of Castillo and he and Bell are joined at the hip.

As far as I know four of the sitting Palmetto Bay council members were supported (PAC or dollars) in their elections by Rosen. Look for Schaffer to get his support in 2016.

Amazing that Rosen received zoning approval for 5000 residential units and 2 million square feet of commercial just days before the Palmetto Bay Council approveapproved a new zoning code for the same area. I have to wonder if that density or intensity would be approved under the new code.

1.Gagggggggg me. I would want to want nothing to do with Palmetto Bay if Lynda further contaminated it. Unfortunately, Flinn's wonderful comeback in PB would grind the Village's positive progress to a halt, because that is what Lynda Bell does so well: destroy the positive things in a community. Maybe a certain engineer friend (and former Homestead City Manager)could be her Public Works director.

2. On the upside, Lynda's grand children could go to Palmer Trinity and the entire community could have chain link fences in their front yards! Yay!

3. Jen Helm was Shiver's personal assistant before she married her husband.

If that happens with Bell look for WSHCB to assume the legal counsel role. Those are the municipal lawyers Wayne likes to work with.

The state attorney needs to get some people on these crooked plans prior to the sketchy council votes which are no doubt in the works and already lined up by Rosen. Palmetto Bay is on the verge of becoming North Homestead. C-YA

Wayne Rosen's architect Ed Silva was made the manager in July. Did he piss somebody off or was the connection too obvious that the even more obvious Lynda Bell connection to Rosen has to be played?

Genius, a picture is worth a thousand words. Would love for you to repost that great Facebook photo of Linda Bell's gragiation celebration (Homestead spelling) from MDCC. Such a scholar! You know the one with crooked Bell, svengali Castillo, and three of the Palmetto Bay council members. Oh also in the photo is a Ms.Noon, a good friend of Cutler Bay Mayor Peggy Bell. Maybe Peggy is too smart to be seen on Facebook with that crew, but a proxy is just as good.

I remember that picture of Lynda Bell's graduation. It had Jose Castillo celebrating with Palmetto Bay's Dubois, Lara, and Cunningham. Joining them was Cutler Bay's Loyzelle, and Jean Tong Noon who held fund raisers for Peggy Bell's campaign. I'm surprised Cutler Bay's Vice-Mayor, Ernie (I want to be a Nazi dictator) Sochin wasn't there. Sochin has never voted against any development Castillo has lobbied for.

Lynda Bell, Castillo, and all the above named politicians appear to have an alliance with the developers. Castillo because he's being paid to do so, the rest, well, you've got to wonder what their motivation is. Honest politicians should not take campaign donations from lobbyists or use lobbyists to run their campaigns. Hopefully Palmetto Bay residents fight any attempt to hire Lynda Bell, and everyone else, DON'T vote these insiders back into office.

Basically it appears Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay are screwed for now. But as usually happens some pissed off canary sings and the politicians houses of cards come a-tumbling down. There is money or favors which lead to money changing hands behind the scenes. Of that you can be sure. Sing yellow bird sing!

Those communities are way better off than Surfside. Candidates for mayor include the current one who has sold out everything he can put a price on and move out the door including huge contracts and zoning laws and development limits, all sold and gone. His opponent? Another ethically challenged individual with a long history of self service.

ELI TOURGEMAN (CRD# 2817342)
Candidate for Mayor of Surfside
Adds to his resume (prior ethics charges as Surfside Commissioner, abuse of position as officer of Kiwanis Club, abuse of position in putting town money into a bank where he worked to gain commissions on ‘new deposits’, steering of a town scholarship to members of his family) and now terminated by a bank for unethical misuse of bank email and other systems to solicit funds for his campaign and other violations of rules and ethics.
Mr. Tourgeman shown to be the height of deception, phony imaging, and misleading of town residents to gain another opportunity for him to serve himself rather than the public. Poor Surfside, look at its choices for mayor now.
OFFICIAL RECORD
02/03/2014Employment Separation After Allegations
Firm Name: HSBC BANK USA, N.A.
Termination of Employee Eli Tourgeman
TERMINATED BY HSBC BANK AFFILIATE AFTER ALLEGATIONS THAT HE VIOLATED BANK AND/OR BROKER DEALER POLICIES INCLUDING SOLICITATION, OUTSIDE BUSINESS ACTIVITIES, POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT, BUSINESS PRINCIPLES AND ETHICS AND USE OF BUSINESS EQUIPMENT. THE ALLEGATIONS WERE THAT THE REGISTERED REPRESENTATIVE, USING HIS HSBC EMAIL ADDRESS, IMPROPERLY SOLICITED BANK CUSTOMERS FOR POLITICAL DONATIONS TO SUPPORT HIS POLITICAL CAMPAIGN AND CONDUCTED OTHER NON-HSBC BUSINESS ACTIVITIES. THESE ACTIVITIES VIOLATED BANK AND/OR BROKER DEALER POLICY AND WERE NOT APPROPRIATE. THE REGISTERED REPRESENTATIVE DID NOT RECEIVE APPROVAL TO ENGAGE IN THE OUTSIDE BUSINESS ACTIVITY REGARDING HIS POLITICAL CAMPAIGN, NOR WAS THIS AN AUTHORIZED USE OF HSBC EMAIL. HSBC BANK TERMINATED THE REGISTERED REPRESENTATIVE AFTER ITS INVESTIGATION OF THIS MATTER.

That singing canaries in the Bays has already sung a few tunes. It seems a certain developer (last name rhymes with chosen) and the media outrage that went national forced him to avoid the searchlights that had lit him up. The male and female pair of canaries will continue to sing and tweet their songs for a while taking credit for the slow demise of others when their political misfortune was caused by their own hand. Watch out former seat mates these birds have sharp talons and the only safe move is to migrate up north for the winter.

For a municipal council in District 8 to appoint Lynda Bell as city manager would be plain stupid.

Wayne Rosen is also a mortgage holder for Shiver on two Redland lots with Danny Shiver as well. Wayne is all about making a buck the fools who bought into his golf course scheme look silly now.

Wayne Rosen is Detritus Maximus.

many of us who bought in Keys Gate didn't have a clue about the developer (or the hi-jinks of the city counsel if we didn't live in the area before.)

that sort of information is not exactly shared and until it hits the news, who knows?

certainly not the 1000's of renters or section 8's know or care about local politics or the corruption-it's not their problem, they leave the community when they need to go somewhere else.

the rest of us who brought into the "small town", (which it's not; Homestead is going to be the next jammed-up Kendall). Now, we are stuck with non-voters and special interests.

The influence of Wayne Rosen and his sidekicks destroyed South Dade.

Soon we will see which of the Cutler Bay politicians are obligated to Castillo. He's one of the lobbyists trying to convince the council to change a low density parcel of land changed to 4-story mixed use along historic 2-lane Old Cutler rd.Such a change contradicts our parks master-plan and the future land use map, which designates the property as low density residential/conservation. A designation they just voted on in 2012! But many agree that at least 3 of the council members are under the spell of Castillo, and will vote for this project despite the hundreds of emails urging them to vote against. Bell, Loyzelle and Sochin are likely yes votes. If you live in Palmetto Bay watch out! You too may find your community being run by outside influences.

Here is some info on Karyn Cunningham you might not know. Karyn was a registered Democrat. Karyn switched to Republican when she ran for District 1 Council in 2014. A fact easily checked on the 2014 voter role. Soon after being elected, she changed back to Democrat. Karyn’s biggest supporter was none other than Vice Mayor John Dubois, who is a lifelong Republican. That makes me think. Did Karyn switch to Republican for the Vice Mayors support and then switch back to Democrat after the election?
