Homophobes are Alive and Well and Sending Emails in Miami. By Geniusofdespair

I left out the photo of the naked woman with the Brazilian wax. This was sent out over Memorial Day Weekend NOT BY ME!!

The email in question was found in a friend's official email. Not wanting to forward it to me, the person took a picture of three of the screens.  I actually know one of the people who forwarded it (it was a forward of a forward). Shame on you all. Dickheads to be sure.

Angry at Audrey: We didn't elect a Queen! By Geniusofdespair

Audrey Edmonson thinks she is queen of her district. Juan Zapata had a resolution to increase the rent on Parcel B and she balked that he should not be doing things in HER district. It was determined by a consultant that the rent was 1/3 of what it should be.

Wow now I am glad Audrey Edmonson did not get elected Chair of the County Commission. She might go back on our Unreformable list just when I was getting to like her.

AUDREY WE ARE ONE COUNTY NOT 13 DISTRICTS. When it comes to the Miami Heat, Parcel B and MONEY you do not reign supreme. Commissioner Juan Zapata is soooo right. Even if it is not a Countywide issue you are wrong. Last time I checked Parcel B was a county property. It was not purchased by District 3 was it? Look at the Money Audrey. Look at the money.

We didn't elect commissioners as overlords of Fiefdoms. YOU DO NOT OWN YOUR DISTRICT and you don't control all the issues within it. We don't have a Feudal regime in downtown.  Everything you vote on is for the good of the people, all of the people. Isn't the money in one big pot called the general funds? Isn't that where rent on this property would go?

How could you possibly threaten the other commissioners with your vote:
"If this goes through, then I think every single one of us will now have to worry about each others crossings the lines and coming in and just doing what they want to do in everybody's district"
That is what they SHOULD BE DOING Audrey. As long as there is one money pot,  everyone has a stake in everything in your district.

When we have 13 separate accounts, go for it Audrey.  Your district will be a rich district. You should vote for 13 accounts. I would love to either cut the County cord or for you all to do the job you were voted to do:

Govern us all equally.

I don't mind subsidizing some districts if my Commissioner has an equal say to EVERYTHING in that district.  We should not need an at large commissioner, you all should be at large commissioners. Juan Zapata doesn't own the UDB line because a lot of it is in his district.  Moss doesn't own the Zoo. STOP the nonsense and govern in the best interest of the whole community: Which means you should have gotten more money from the Heat for the VIP Parking lot for all of us.

P.S. All the rest of you that voted with her: You are dickheads. You should have gotten the COUNTY more money.

If I were a Rich Man.... Dickhead Rich People: Sandy Batchelor and Norman Braman. By Geniusofdespair

Sandy Batchelor, very rich herself as Chairman of the Batchelor Foundation, said the Sugar Land is too expensive, nixing the deal Environmentalists wanted so badly. When she was reappointed  by Rick Scott to the South Florida Water Management Board, stupid Audubon celebrated (she is on their board too).

The Miami Herald reported:

“There are really and truly constraints out there. For me, the biggest one is financial,” said board member Sandy Batchelor.

So Audubon, your Rich Board Member took a very bold move for the Environment,  a Dickhead move.

Norman Braman, of course he is a dickhead extraordinaire for his mega support of Marco Rubio, that is a given, but he is also a dickhead for meddling in the historic neighborhood of Buena Vista. He wants to build his Institute of Contemporary Art (to house works from MOCA dispute) in the  Buena Vista hood (he bought a few houses bordering the design district). The neighbors are up in arms and do not want the zoning changed.  How can he demolish historic homes anyway? His wife Irma needs the museum I suppose but the Design District was perfect. Braman has property there for his museum, why encroach on a neighborhood? Make it compact, lean and mean Norman, instead of being a Dickhead to your neighbors.

Buena Vista Historic Home
I spoke to  Buena Vista resident Basil Binns, He has no beef with Norman Braman, he said he respects the man. He just wants his historic neighborhood to remain intact. He loves where he lives with his family. Norman, talk to Basil and his neighbors. North Miami is already perplexed about the art from MOCA, now you want Buena Vista to be angry? You don't want to be a local Dickhead, isn't being a National Dickhead enough? By the way, all that money you are wasting on Rubio...find another site. Why should Jorge Perez have a better museum than you?

Buena Vista Homeowner Basil Binns with Baby Binns
Come on Norman Braman, I am pulling on your heart-strings. Do you have any? Look at this fine dad to baby Binns.

Eye on Miami Saturday Editorial Page. By Geniusofdespair

The Miami Herald gave up on Saturday, but I didn't!

What is this dead animal with Maggots all over it found in a residential neighborhood?

Opinion:

Speaking of Maggots, I have often said the Florida Legislature shouldn't meet at all and I am always glad when the session is over. The Florida House took off early in a snit and that makes me very happy. I am happier than a pig in shit actually.

The Kendall Federation of Homeowners:

They are having a meeting June 8th at 7pm at their civic pavilion WAY out west. They invited Congressman Carlos Curbelo, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and County Commissioner Juan C. Zapata. The Miccosukee Indians are trying to get the Kendall golf course they bought, designated as tribal land so maybe they can build a casino. Does that mean they do not have to pay property taxes as well? Hey Miccosukees, you can't just buy land and make it tribal. If you can do it, however, buy land all over the County.

Wasted Tax Dollars:
Did anyone know County Commissioner Souto had a Bus? What a waste of money.
Editorial Photos:
Does anyone miss the style of the pregnant woman of the 50's? Hide it any way you can.

Yes, we all know you have a parasite inside you Ms. 2015.

Dickheads of the week:
Charles Lee
For trying to justify a road rather than trying to stop it near Crystal River:
"When it appears inevitable that a highway corridor we don’t like is going to be built, we will advocate strongly for modifications, offsets, and mitigation to minimize the impacts on Conservation Lands."

That is Audubon for you, give up don't fight to the finish.

Rep. Matt Gaetz
For implying "African American's are stupid" in a tweet. Out of 11 Democrats that filed a suit about the session ending early, he chose 2 Blacks to single out, saying: "This lawsuit reads like it was researched and drafted by Sen. Joyner...and spell checked by Sen. Bullard.  Woof, that is mean spirited, stereotyping and super racist. I guess Gaetz is the bigger dickhead and I don't mean that "bigger" in a good way.

Grand Opening For Hampton House, May 8. 2015, 11:00 a.m

Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, Chairman Jean Monestine, District 3 Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson, the Board of County Commissioners and the Historic Hampton House Community Trust, Inc. cordially invite the public to attend the Grand Opening of the Historic Hampton House, “the former jewel of the South,” to see how it has been brought back to its former glory. The event will take place on May 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Historic Hampton House, 4240 N. W. 27 th Avenue and the admission is free.

The Grand Opening is the result of fifteen years of working, planning, and cooperation among citizens, government, organizations and the corporate world to restore a landmark in Miami and a portion of its vibrant history. During the days of segregation the Hampton House was the bridge that brought the races together to plan strategies for sit-ins, demonstrations, and marches to protest segregation. The local chapter of CORE had its monthly meetings there. It was the place where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. first said his “I have a Dream Speech” before saying it in Washington, D. C. It was where Mohamed Ali had his victory party February 25, 1964, when he beat Sonny Liston. It was where Malcolm x proselytized Cassius Clay to the Islam Faith. A long list of political figures, athletes, musicians and entertainers, both black and white, as well as those involved with the Civil Rights movement at the local and national levels stayed at the Hampton House.

Frequent visitors were Joe Louis, Jackie Robinson, Althea Gibson, Roy Campanella, Ray Charles, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, Lena Horne, Milton Berle, Sam Cook, Berry Gordy, Frank Sinatra, Flip Wilson, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Nat King Cole, Nina Simone, LaVern Baker, and many others.

The Black entertainers could ENTERTAIN on Miami Beach but they couldn't STAY at the Miami Beach hotels.
