The Truth Doesn't Always Cut It. By Geniusofdespair

I was having a second eye procedure, a cut and just two stitches, so I opted for a few eye shots to deaden the area and was awake during the procedure.  In the  operating room my doctor was playing 80's love songs.  I said: "What kind of shit music is this?"

The Doctor replied: "You realize I am holding a scalpel to your eye."

The music sounded much better after that. The nurse said don't you love "Prince?" I shuddered. What should I say to that? "More than Country music?" I answered with a diversion, "I like Christina Aguilera." My doctor tersely replied: "That is 90's music." Woof! Glad to get out of there with a seeing eye.

The moral to that experience is simply "when you have your head in the lion's mouth, you have to be good to that lion".

Hope your eye feels better. Sounds like your eye doctor has a sense of humor. I crack jokes and mine just look at me like i'm from outer space.

My sister was a dental hygienist and she always warned me not to mess with the people holding the pick.
