Charlie Crist's New Campaign Manager: Omar Kahn. By Geniusofdespair

Khan was part of President Obama's campaign teams. In 2012, he was the national associate political director.

I'm Charlie's new campaign manager -- and I wasn't going to introduce myself to you like this, but Rick Scott's got a new ad up that demands immediate response.

In the ad, Gov. Scott stares straight at the camera and knowingly recycles the false, debunked claim that Obamacare somehow "raids" Medicare.

Clearly, Scott prefers to raid Medicare the old fashioned way: Insurance fraud.

As you may know, Scott's former healthcare company, Columbia/HCA, was forced to pay the largest Medicare fraud settlement in the history of the United States. But somehow you won't find mention of that in the ad.

Welcome aboard Omar! Over the years, Scott has provided a gold mine of material for you to work with. For some of us in South Florida, the election can't come fast enough for us to kick him out of office! Our theme for years has been "Anybody but Scott". His hope is that money will overcome poor performance.

Medicare was already raided by Obama to pay for some of the ACA provisions.

People who are on Medicare, or are coming of age to get on Medicare are experiencing no difference in their coverages. This is a lie to influence people against Medicare and ACA, something republicans have been doing since the beginning of these programs. But it won't work. Older voters can tell you based on their personal experiences that there has been no change in their coverage under Medicare since ACA came into effect.

I am glad you came by to see us. We have been waiting for Nan Rich's campaign manager to stop by for a long time. Hopefully, she too will stop by soon because we have a lot to tell her. Just in case you have not looked at the numbers yet, please know that women control everything in FL. There are more of us in the population, we represent the majority of the registered voters, and we represent the majority of the super voters both democratic and republican. In short, the power of the vote rests with us. Pull any election results for local, statewide, or national races and you can see what I am talking about. Given this heightened awareness of our actual political power, we have begun preparing ourselves to put Clinton in the Whitehouse. Crist needs to make a big move to signal to women that he understands our desire to assume our rightful places in the governance of the state.

Joe Centorino says that you can't knowingly lie or slant campaign literature to mislead the voters. Ask new Mayor Porter of Homestead. Maybe we should ask for an opinion from the Commission on ethics about the Governor. Can we go back in time I wonder. John Dubois of Palmetto Bay said he was the "Green Candidate" to debunk his masacre of the mangroves and the filling of his "lawn" down at the Old Cutler Estate of his.

I think they are two of a kind. Slash and burn politicians who get nothing done. He can't even get a traffic study done in the burg of Palmetto Bay. Another destroyer of a municpality and tea partier whose legacy will be how little he did to be elected to higher office.

Nothing has changed with Medicare. Friends have told me ACA provided them with health insurance unaffordable in the recent past. Physician's have complained to me ACA improves the business outlook for family practice physicians but worse for physicians that specialize. The medical community will have to change the way they do business to be successful in changing times. Scott is lying as usual.
John Dubois of Palmetto Bay is just stalling the downtown redevelopment process for his own political reasons. Many highly paid professionals on the downtown redevelopment task force have volunteered time that amounts to approximately $500,000in wages. Dubois should show appreciation for the volunteer work done to date and move the project forward.

Health care is a human right. With the Affordable Care Act, finally the working poor and middle class, those with prior conditions, can afford to purchase health insurance. Unfortunately the working poor with lower incomes and those with income below the poverty line or no income, can't take advantage of the new health insurance law. For these people in states like FLorida that refuse to expand Medicaid coverage - even though the federal government is funding it - there is no health insurance and limited choices for health care - emergency care, overcrowded public health clinics. This is a travesty. Medicaid should be expanded in Florida.

Dubois' political reasons stem from his personal involvement in the area. Heard he wants to narrow the scope of the project to the area where the buildings he owns sit. He's another do nothing, get nothing accomplished tea partier who gives republicans a bad name. He along with his buds are the main source of trouble in Palmetto Bay. Too bad that Palmetto Bay wants a better commercial area, better tax base and better services. Using municipal improvements as a political football is unethical. He is failing in his sworn duty to serve Palmetto Bay. I heard his big contribution to the area is orchids in the trees. He and his cronies on the Council are pitting the residents against their political agendas of doing nothing for the residents.

It looks like the other shoe is about to drop in Palmetto Bay. The Miami Herald reports that Federal and state banking regulators issued an enforcement action against Sunstate Bank of Miami in January, according to a report released on Friday. Many of Mayor Stanczyk’s cronies promoting the Downtown upzoning task force are officers of or have ties to this bank. Palmetto Bay keeps millions in taxpayer dollars in this bank. Palmetto Bay residents better hope that their money is safe.

The story goes on to say that Sunstate Bank agreed to a consent order, mandating that it boost the oversight of its board of directors, enhance its anti-money laundering policies and procedures, and develop and implement stronger internal controls, among other requirements.

This is just the beginning of some of the corruption going on under mayor Stanczyk that will be revealed soon.
