Revisionist History: Lynda Bell takes credit for ideas from FRANK NERO, the man she got fired. By Geniusofdespair

Lie in the Beacon Council Newsletter: This gives me the trots and makes me want to barf.
I wrote about this November 21st. This part deserves repeating:

I spoke to someone with close ties to Nero and Beacon:
The woman told me, he (FRANK NERO) had proposed this for years as a necessary tool to identify development areas especially in the urban core but also for areas in south Dade. This recommendation went back as far as when Penelas created "urban task force" and this was one of his recommendations. Frank repeatedly made this recommendation to the commission over the years as he needed the county to participate. It fell on deaf ears. When Bell attacked Beacon He again reiterated this proposal. He even wrote her a lengthy memo on this concept. She waited until Nero left and then introduced the resolution saying at the time that her attack on Nero/Beacon was NOT personal. It was reported in Miami today when Nero recommended to her that this GIS program be adopted. There are numerous memos from Nero over the years to the commission recommending this program. It is disingenuous for Bell to accept credit.
 Barf meter.

Bell is a complete idiot, or, just trailer trash cagey. She is now trying to backtrack from her destruction of the department formerly known as DERM: the county's environmental resource arm. Bell came out of the box swinging, after she was inaugurated, and now she is trying to make "nice" with enviros because she hears the footsteps. What's most revolting is that voters elected her in the first place. Bell will be voted out of office.

Bell won by less then 100 votes if I remember right or something like that. Her church was a polling place and that area is where she picked up the most votes very late in the game in addition to questionable AB ballots which put her over to win. She has zero mandate and her support is local to DERM violator DuBois, the 8 1/2 square mile Pena people who vote in District 9 and the rock miners. She can't fix her voting record. It will be shoved down her throat along with the matching campaign contributions she's freely taken with that voting record. She can't change that history and her environmental destruction will haunt her - FOREVER because too many will make sure of it.

Her theft of Nero's plan is not surprising. It's only surprising that Gimenez continues to beat the drum on Bell's behalf. That too will be shoved in her face because she is a liar claiming to "create" anything other then chaos and history revisions.

360 votes is closer...not exactly sure.

Unless you tell your neighbors and facebook friends, no one will know about Lynda Bell. The word has to be passed around.

In support of Frank Nero, the County Commission passed a resolution on April 8, 2008 with the following title: "Resolution requesting Mayor to create an internet-based GIS application for economic development." This happened two years before Bell arrived. The resolution called for a working group led by the Beacon Council to create the application. It took the County and the Beacon Council a long time to get it done, but it certainly was not an idea by Lynda Bell.

The new Beacon Council knows where its bread is buttered. Praise Scott, Gimenez, Bell profusely. Then have a tea party in their honor.

The Beacon Council is useless, unless you are a connected insider who wants a fat paycheck for doing no work.
