My Prediction is Coming True, Holy Jesus! By Geniusofdespair

On May 5, 2017 I wrote about the heat wave in New Delhi, India where temperatures that week reached 111 degrees:

Remember, no air conditioning.... When are the 1,339 billion people of India going to start migrating because of weather? That will be the beginning of chaos. Forget border walls. Expect stampedes.

Today in the New York Times they had a photo essay about Southern India's worst drought in more than a century:

Because the husbands cannot get the farms to work because of rising temperatures, they commit suicide.

In the long run the world benefits from warmer temperatures. There will be more arable land, milder climates, a greater area where people can live and thrive. It seems harsh to think about, but in the long run, human societies have always adapted and thrived with warming trends. Check out the book, the great warming by brian fagan. Human-induced warming and environmental change/degradation is hardly a fact unique to our times.

One problem with your historic perspective: too many people and borders closing everywhere.

No one who has read science can believe the world will benefit from warmer temperatures. Temperatures are rising MUCH too quickly for natural habitat is and creation to adapt. We are in the midst of a great extinction event: so far, the dashing populations haven’t affected the top predator species: us. But pay attention to what science informs about the collapse of insect species and biota that nourishes life in our oceans. Unfortunately it turns out that aspects of human nature that allowed our species to prevail are exactly the wrong combination to quickly respond to long term threats like global warming.

Oh, but el Presidente Orange Haired Orangutan will tell them that they are getting plenty of water. Good water. Never a problem for them. He is a genius. Knows more than the generals. And the scientists. And the physicists. And the astronomers. And the doctors....just ask him. He won't hesitate to tell you. In truth, the putz knows less than nothing.
