Hillary: One REALLY Bad Speaker. By Geniusofdespair

Crazy Eyes don't make you seem tough.

That speech sucked. Chelsea was so good but Hillary yours was so bad. Why didn't you just stand still and stop trying to be animated. And, I thought you promised not to shout? Who cares if the delagates couldn't hear, you sounded shrill to me. Spinning around with crazy eyes at times...so bad. I know what what you were TRYING to do, seem tough to show you can fight terrorists and The Donald. But geez that bully story was so dumb. What a mean mother to send you back out there. That is not how you deal with bullies, to be a bully yourself.

So uninspiring. So fake, too long, everything but the kitchen sink thrown in. Yes I will vote for you but, after all these years, that is the best you can do? Ugh. Will Rahn of CBS news said:

"Hillary's speech wasn't good. That's not surprising, really. She's an ungifted speaker, and the delivery, with all those random pauses and strange choices in terms of emphasis, felt off."

And in response, the other candidate tweets up a storm rather than let the speech do its own damage. Why will I vote for Hillary Clinton: In the words of music, it is the Supremes...as my Guitar Gently Weeps.

I disagree. The speech was fine. It covered everything I wanted to hear. If great oratory was what you were looking for, the convention gave you plenty of that. In fact, as the convention clearly revealed, Democrats have long benches of great speech makers. Anytime you want a great speech, they can probably easily pull one out of hat. What I wanted from her was to close the deal and rise to the ocassion. And that she did!!!! Now let's get her elected.

I agree with the previous writer. Her speech was excellent in content and construction, and her delivery serviceable. Obama, Bill, and Reagan set high bars for delivery. Hillary will never match that standard. But she can complete a sentence and a thought, and the content of both is what ultimately matters.

How can you get content from a sheill delivery?

Sorry shrill.

From media and posts on Facebook by friends, it was very well received. I thought it was pretty good too. But I guess this could all be in comparison to the terrible RNC speeches.

Everyone I know thought it was a good speech. One thing for sure, it goes in the history books and will be read by girls and women from generation to generation in years to come.

I am totally uninspired. I can't believe out of thr possibly 150 million eligible adults in this country these two are the best and brightest we can find.

That white pants suit she wore needs to be cleaned up and auctioned off. It is worth quite a bit now. If she wins, its value will jump significantly.

I thought she did well. I would rather have her in the Situation Room than The Donald.

So today I heard on MSNBC there were places she stopped because Bernie or bust people were yelling and then other people tried to drown them out by yelling usa. People liked the speech and said this is who she is -she's a policy wonk. I like my leaders smart. I honestly wouldn't have cared if she did the whole thing is sign language.
Joe Conason who is one of most honest politcal writers I know wrote a great book called the The hunting of the President. He knows her really well and is on twitter. He is trusted source of great information. and like you guys dedicated to the truth.
As far as great speeches. My favorite was Cory Booker. He is a rising star and if you have not seen Street Fight the documentary it's a great doc.

You are a bit harsh on Hillary's address.....My big concern is TPP
Her web site says she will oppose it, but I not convinced she will.....maybe it will be passed in the lame duck session ....Steve Hagen
