Review of the R. Kelly Buffet Concert May 28th, 2016. By Geniusofdespair

I was surprised there was no hearing-aid hawkers outside the stadium...
I was definitely in the minority...people sitting vs. people standing.
The music started late, very late. They had some woman on first that no one much was listening to. I went out to play some Words with Friends. Others were texting, taking selfies, posting stuff. etc.

When it finally started the music was loud. Luckily I had earplugs with me, stuffed in my ears as far as I could get them. But the loud music wasn't the problem. You know that bass you hear coming from the car next to you that is so loud it vibrates your car too, and you think to yourself "I am glad I am not in that car." Well attending this R. Kelly concert was like being in that bass playing car. My whole body vibrated...and not in a good way. I was worried I would get arrhythmia. I ended up leaving early. I do have to say that everyone standing was annoying because I had to stand. Also, R. Kelly has a great voice and having most of the audience sing along was also annoying. I didn't come to hear a chorus. I was in the minority and those I befriended were making fun of me -- assuming I didn't know they were doing it. But I really didn't care, I played the stupid rube for them. I was just there to have a good time...but I didn't. R Kelly sang part of a couple of songs went off-stage, showed a video of himself, then kept repeating that. It was strange. I liked the videos because they had no bass, giving my body time to adjust.

Small clubs for me. These big concerts in stadiums suck mostly. They can never get the sound right, although I saw the Rolling Stones and Simon and Garfunkel here and the sound was good.

I definitely was not dressed correctly in jeans and a plaid shirt. Everyone was decked out...except me. I was noticeably under-dressed.

Women dressing: Sexy and TIGHT.
Men dressing (this was not typical) but I liked it.

I went to hear his voice like in this video but didn't get to because of the thunderous thud of the bass (watch the damn video):

You are right z woman. It was pretty much a waste of money. Apparently he is loaded with bad reviews on Ticketmaster. A lot of people had the same complaints as me but no one mentioned the bass they just said terrible sound and lip-synch ing.
