My Friends on Facebook Are Thanking God for the Warm Weather. By Geniusofdespair

I said back to them not so fast. Don't thank God for record warm weather or any other extreme weather conditions. Then I heard from a sane friend visiting Russia:

Hope your Xmas was great. Here in Russia I talked to few people. Apparently the warmest week on record. I was in Paris for the climate conference. The situation is dire.

The planetary upheaval has begun. The presidential candidates and elected officials who continue to deny climate change and block carbon reduction are putting billions of humans in harm's way including EOM readers. These unusually warm days should concern your Facebook friends. They should be unsettling.

I watched a weather channel for several hours last evening as 'spring like' storms rolled tornadoes through Texas cities and towns. The commentator was begging people to go their safe places and not get curious and go outside.

No media coverage of the methane leak in California. This is a serious disaster as methane is more damaging than carbon dioxide. Scientists are fearing the worst with the melting permafrost and attendant methane leaks, but the natural gas wells are already spewing volumes of it and the consequences are grave. But of course, what we really need to fear is ISIS 'cause they are coming to get us.
