Leaving the Windy City. By Geniusofdespair

The bean in Millennium Park
Coming back with two conclusions (iron clad): I love Uber and deep dish pizza ain't so bad.

Chicago: Lou Malnati's Deep Dish Pizza - It was not doughy.

Millennium Park is a Sculpture Garden not a real park. I did go to Milwaukee too. Plenty of CHEAP beer and good cheese. I didn't pay for any, there were free samples. They have an art museum in Milwaukee. 20,000 works but you couldn't see any of them.  If you are going to do some interior work, at LEAST have a room or two to view. You could only eat cheese and drink beer in Milwaukee. I was the only one who liked the Pumpkin beer.

The art museum without art in Milwaukee. Yes the wings flap and retract when it gets windy.

The Chicago art institute, that is a different story. Great museum but confusing to navigate.... A few separate buildings. Will put up pictures when  I get home. Can't figure out how on the phone.

Can't escape him, even in Chicago.

Ohare Airport pretty much sucks. They have a stupid way of dealing with luggage. Maybe it is this cheap airline Frontier. I paid $39 one way to Chicago. The train ride to Milwaukee was rather pleasant - Amtrak. Traffic here is pretty bad. I was freezing my ass off. It went down to freezing in Milwakukee, 40 to 50 degrees in Chicago. I had a hat and gloves on. Some people had shorts on.

Don't complain about Miami traffic traffic in Chicago is never ending

Yes at 5 am there was traffic leaving Chicago. There is a gabby woman eating pizza behind me (7:30 am), on with the headphones.

how do you get all the crazy low air fares and whats the catch?, do you have a 5 hour layover in Denver?

One of the best benefits to a traveller is being able to get a better view of how home stacks up against other locations. MIami is a a late adopter, copy cat county, (red light cameras, police body cameras, tolling freeways) and if other localels haven't solved their traffic issues, we don't have any inspiration.

We don't have rocket scientists residing in Miami Dade county.

Did you ride the L train around Chicago? Makes one yearn for real public transit here in Miami. And for a good number of Chicagoans, that's the trick to avoiding traffic. In fact you can easily ride the Blue Line from Ohare to downtown/millenium park/the bean.

Also keep in mind Chicago is multiples of our population here in Miami. 10 million in the area, 3 in the city.

Did I take the train from the airport? I tried. They had 6 kiosks selling train tickets. At 3 pm there were hundreds of people on line to buy tickets at the two banks of machines. 6 machines with out of State people trying to use them. There were no people helping. It was a clusterfuck. We took a cab for $30 more than the tickets would have cost.

I'll take Chicago traffic over Miami traffic any day.
