Raquel Regalado Registered to Run for County Mayor ---Easy on the Eyes and Smart as a a Whip.
You can start to contribute to Raquel Regalado for County Mayor. She is registered with elections (see above - these are the only candidates registered for 2016 that you can legally give to). Carlos Gimenez may NOT get campaign contributions but he is taking donations through his PAC and has $500,000 or thereabouts in the PAC. PAC money is NOT campaign contributions and have no limit.

Here is her website for County Mayor. See the video.

Here is her Facebook Page.

Also try this in a couple of days Raquelregalado.com

SO ACCORDING TO THE ELECTIONS WEBSITE, YOU LEGALLY CAN SEND CAMPAIGN DONATIONS NOW IF YOU WANT, TO RAQUEL REGALADO'S CAMPAIGN TREASURER:

This is not an ad for the campaign, it is just me talking to my readers alerting them to a candidates registration as a candidate.

Racquel Regalado is smart and she sure talks fast. She will make mincemeat of Carlos Gimenez if he ever agrees to a debate, which he won't.

I am on board.

Your disclaimer that this article is not an advertisement for Ms. Regalado's campaign is typical liberal pablum. In Plain English, bullshit.

Genius, take it easy! Remember you were this eager about Gimenez too. Let's see what 2015 and 2016 bring us before we start recommending someone.

Something about "fast talking" politicians always gives me pause.

Donate to any candidate who not endorsed by the police and fire unions.

I would still support Carlos Gimenez over Julio Robaina.

As bad as Carlos has been, you are correct, Robaina would have been an utter disaster.

To anonymous above regarding the unions, you need to do some research. ALL the unions in Dade County have urged reform in County procurement. Spending double or triple for off the shelf items is near criminal. You obviously can't pass a background check.

The unions are composed of county staff. It was the county unions who investigated saving money with an alternative Avmed plan. The union was the entity who demanded pricing from Avmed in order to try to reign in costs. The savings, in the millions, were not the result of any Mayor Gimenez's layoff ideas nor his union busting ideas.

I am hopeful and inspired by Ms. Regalado. She cuts issues into understandable and rational pieces.

My suggestion to other candidates, with Gimenez raising money hand over fist and because he is an incumbent, YOU HAVE TO GET IN THE RACE EARLY.

The Miami Herald's David Smiley has an excellent investigative piece today on the City of Miami Fire Union and how hundreds of union members are exploiting weak one-sided contracts to make themselves rich. One fire union member who got $27,000 in overtime on top of his $110,000 salary brags he is retiring in 4 days at age 47 while taking a $78,000 pension from the taxpayers. Another fire union member worked 1,700 hours of OVERTIME? At time and a half.

Why have you and the School Board ignored everything that was included in the "packet" of letters that was sent to you et al last year regarding the principal from Palmetto Elementary School.
