Watch what happens with the pumps in Miami Beach. They will do nothing. Made dash to sell condominiums to foreigners before newbies realize what is going on. Musical chairs.
It is the most dramatic visual of what will happen that we have seen so far. They can take it seriously or not. Ultimately there won't be that much dry land around and the main mode of transportation will be boats.
Since Miami has the most to lose, you'd think we could show some leadership- implementing the most progressive policies on energy conservation, adhering to planning principals that keep this watery future in mind by refraining from concreting over more land in vulnerable areas or refraining from building highways to nowhere in the far western suburbs that are in fact most low-lying and flood prone. Instead, we get MDX, FPL, and Developer-driven quick profit governing policies.

Venice! That should be the new Ad for Miami/Miami Beach.
I see a business opportunity for a school to educate Gondoliery's, with Federal support of course.

Why do politicians and planners keep approving more buildings, mostly condos, on the water? Follow the money, baby.
