Ana Alliegro: 6 months house arrest … by gimleteye

The GOP's self-described "bad girl" whose life has careened from crash to crash was finally sentenced after serving six months in a federal jail: an additional six months house arrest and two further years probation.

Only the US Department of Justice can say what Ana Sol Alliegro told of the politicians with whom she consorted.

Whether former Congressman David Rivera will ever pay a price for his misdeeds remain to be seen.

“I intend to be a good member of society,” Alliegro told the press on her release. A good member of society would accept the Eye On Miami invitation for an in-depth interview.

I am waiting too! We have observed the saga as it unfolded, now hopefully we get the blanks filled in. It is another "Only In Miami" adventure story.

Nothing will happen to Mr. Rivera because Marco Rubio is part and parcel of his misdeeds. It is in not in the best interest of certain "establishmentarians" to out Mr. Rubio.

Actually, this happens all over the US. Quite more often than here. Just read more.

Don't pursue an interview. This woman has suffered enough at the hands of David Rivera. I consider him an abuser just as if he had struck her physically.

We have seen time and again, prosecutors hold back from putting the full weight of the law on political corruption.

I was in the court room observing. The judge in this case took pity as she was a woman citing that Rivera should have manned up and not let this woman take the time in prison. He could have given her more time as requested by the prosecutor who requested a year in prison. Ana Alliegro did Rivera's bidding in this scheme and should pay woman or not. If she had been a murderous sort would any of you be quick to say "this poor woman suffered enough"?
