I was at the debate in Homestead a couple of days ago. Let me begin by saying I have no use for Bell but Cava spoke in only liberal platitiudes and generalities and avoided specifically answering about her experience in the District. She is a carpetbagger shopping for a seat. The people of South Dade need to be very afraid of her agenda for those who are in a community for what it has to give them rather than for helping make a cmomunity.

Herald Endorsement Short Version:

If Lynda is going to talk the talk, then she has got to walk the walk.

Liberal platitudes? You weren't going to vote for her anyway "fiscal conservative" tea party girl is all you would vote for

Daniella is not a carpet bagger shopping for a seat. She is there to get one specific seat: a toxic and very dumb no-it-all, Lynda Bell.

Never forget Cantor's $4.5 million compared to the winner's $100k, and one of the world's powerful leaders fell.

Great news --- hope the Bell cronies will get the word and start supporting Daniella. Bell is, has been, and always will be a self-serving dim wit.

The miami herald's Gimenez love didn't extend to encompass Lynda.

The Redland Hotel just cancelled its Miami Herald subscription. They are now only going to get the National Enquirer.

I don't see Daniella as a tax and spend liberal. You can be a fiscally conservative socially aware individual. Daniella sees social issues and is educated enough to know that a strong middle class will stabilize the county budget.

Lynda was undereducated for the position of commissioner. Lynda can not function at the level of a professional business woman with her limited life experience and background as a small town girl.

It is unfortunate that Lynda was elected in the first place as she was not prepared to encounter the complexities of a billion dollar government.

She ended up dependent on advice from those people who use people for their own means and those are very folks who end up in jail. Those advisors were only making Lynda more like them and dependent on their support to enhance her family's future.

I am sorry for Lynda as her limitations have become her biggest detriment. We need a socially aware cosmopolitan leader who knows that without understanding the interlinking diversity of needs within this huge commission district, the district will never be a vibrant community. Opportunity abounds for a well balanced community with business thriving along with a fun place to live.

District 8 is one of the most internationally diverse districts along with the most diverse business base county-wide. Lynda didn't get the broadness of the boundaries. Daniella will.

Lynda is in over her head and cannot do better.

Even the sun shines on a dogs ass some days.

Translation don't get complacent. This small town girl fights like a junkyard dog and cheats. she not going to go quietly and now she's behind its going to get dirty, she's got nothing to lose.

Bell isn't crazy. There is a lot more at stake for her here than just this commission seat. How she loses will be critical for her future.

Welcome back. Did you have a good vacation?

Not back. Post from road.

I don't feel sorry for Bell. She brought it all on herself. She thought she knew what she was doing because nobody is right except Bell.

She stepped on so many people on her "rise" while never understanding that the higher you go the harder you fall.

God does not wear pajamas and would never let Bell continue in her bad behavior toward the people of District 8. Good riddance.

Now, with Daniella's leadership we can get on with the business of straightening out the mess at County hall.

Did Bell really think the Herald would endorse her?

They never liked before she was elected the first time and now have much more reason to like her less, much less.

Her husband cancelling the Herald shows his simple mind. Does he really think the Herald cares? I am sure they would rather run her out of office to be replaced by the best than his special interest money which no doubt pays for his subscription.

You reap what you sow and now that you have spread your bed you must lie in it.

Bell is a one-term wonder. First in Homestead now in Miami-Dade County. History repeats itself.

Bell is a right wing extremist, pure and simple [well, impure in her case]

No one can't stop this movement and most everyone is slowly backing away rom Bell. Even Gimenez is seen as a liability and has not been seen out on the trial for his hatchet girl on the commission

The Herald endorsement means diddly squat to me. Their editorial board helped developers ravage this county. They are covered in environmental blood.

Well there is that.
