Corruption and the failure of ethics can be overt such as the fence ordinance and can be very subtle such as having your paid staff wear a campaign shirt and attend events "after hours" or one of your children getting a plum job at Turkey Point or a police department. Here is where we start. First, stop the BS travel which is ALL travel. No more pick up trucks with the Commissioners name on the side. (They all have that). Locate their ONE office in a County owned building and tear down the signage for miles around embazoned with the name of the office holder. Strictly curtail the mom and pop grants, particularly those for "bookstores" located in ones home church. Take away the lump sum expense account and make them get reimbursed for actual event expenses. Car allowance ? Gone ! The rules that apply to the Commissioner should apply and extend to their spouses and children and require disclosure. It's a start. Where do YOU stand, Daniella?

Love Eye On Miami, hate this District 8 race! It's just too nasty.

To anonymous #1 GREAT ideas. You're right, seeing Bell staff in orange campaign shirts looks shady. Compensated to campaign?

Anon Above: Politics is a dirty game and always have been. But who is the dirty one in this race?

Not Daniella! She is so above rancor and street tactics, you will never see this woman play the dirty game. She has too much class and she does not need get down to the street level.

VISION, INTEGRITY, RESULTS! Those words fit Daniella to a "T."

Unfortunately, with Lynda portraying herself as Glinda the Good Witch of the South, Daniella has little choice but to educate (or remind) people about her actual record. At least Daniella's criticisms have real substance. They are not equivalent to Lynda's ads attacking Daniella for living in New York 30 years ago, or trying to make people believe that this selfless woman stole money from the charity she founded. It's a joke that Lynda claims that those ads have nothing to do with her, when they are paid for by her personal PAC, funded with money from the developers she's helped over the last 4 years.

Daniella, your ad is beautiful! Wholesome woman, appropriately dressed, not with a too tight shirt with buttons waiting to pop.

You are really a woman of substance and District 8 will be proud to call you Commissioner.
