"A juvenile Nile crocodile, a larger, man-eating relative of the local species, was captured alive Sunday in Everglades National Park after eluding wildlife officers for nearly two years. Officials believe the 5 1/2-foot croc escaped from a south Miami-Dade County facility, along with two others captured in the area in 2009 and 2012. They are now looking at DNA from all three to confirm that they came from the same place." Miami Herald, March 14, 2014

My goodness! We would just be a snack for one of them. On the other hand, that is a lot of handbags. . .
......and matching shoes, perhaps a full outfit as well or outfits for the whole family!!!!
Now that would make a comfort pet when I go to City Commission Meetings.
Voters should put one of these starving critters in the boat slip and charge to watch city commissioners swim the length.
If you can get Johnny Winton off his barcalounger, he would be a great addition.
I think this belongs in the boat slip to keep the commissioners and Beckham out of there.
It is amazing, sort of an ancestor from the dinosaurs. I wonder how did they kill it?
It died after trying to digest East African politics. It would not have fared much better in Miami. And while it's not "an ancestor from the dinosaurs" (separate lineage) crocodilians have been around a good long time.
Do you think we have some of those in the Everglades?
