Lynda Bell Sent a gift....to whom exactly? By Geniusofdespair

Did this go out to ALL of District 8. Some said they didn't get this. Did it only go out to super voters? Only to registered voters? If we have a budget shortfall, why did this magnetic piece of shit go out? We had to pay for the calendar with her picture on it and the mailing of it. Lynda, Lynda, Lynda...feeling vulnerable? This looks like a campaign piece on OUR DIME. Your office budget is our dime. Why didn't you donate the money you spent sending this dumb piece and useless gift to the libraries? That we all would have appreciated.

The magnetic calendar with Lynda Bell's face on it.

District 8 Voter said...

We have two registered super voters - one Dem and one Rep - in my household. We did not receive the taxpayer funded campaign material and live in the District. How do I make a public records request to obtain the mailing list and the cost to produce these piece?

1) We shouldn't be paying for these
2) If these didn't go to every household in District 8, I'm going to file an ethics complaint (which won't stick but will make me feel better).

It doesn't stick to stainless steel appliances? That is an issue if mine is not the only one.

Well, not really for me, because I don't put bumper stickers on my car or advertizements on my fridge.

How can you mark anything on this slick thing?

lucky democrat super voter here did get one but as always with advertising material, it has been round filed. I did however keep the one from the local realtor who handed me one.

That must be a heavy piece of over sized mail.

The magnet calendar is as useless as Commissioner Bell.

As a dem super voter, I got one. It is in a 9 x 6 envelope that is post marked with a presort stamp under the permit #1087. I live in palmetto bay.

You'd be surprised how far those silly little things go in getting people to vote for a candidate! It never ceases to amaze me every time I hear someone say, "I voted for __ because they sent me a little gift".

And I always use the realtors that send me one of those magnetic paper calendars. I got those from at least 4 realtors this years....on the other hand, their calendars were in the mailbox before the end of the year.

If you are going to vote to cut employees pay checks, then put your own office on an austerity program.

To the paraphrase the old law school adage

If you have a record, run on your record,

If you have ethics run on your ethics

If you have neither, pass out the SWAG

I am a 5 out of 5 voter living in Cutler Bay. I'm going to re-purpose the Bell magnetic calendar by making a magnetic bumper sticker out of it that reads "vote for Daniella Levine Cava"

Her face on the fridge, what a great appetite supressant ! It will be the diet solution of the year.

Interesting. Now we need to find out if permit #1087 is a county official or a campaign mail house.

That's a Realtor calendar.

Of course its a Realtor calendar. She is trying to sell us something.

I threw my calendar in the garbage can with the rest of the household trash.

permit 1087 is the county bulk mail permit number commissioners use for franking privileges which is supposed to be use to keep constituents informed.. Lynda just wanted to inform us what day it is….
BTW. Look for lots of #1087 permit glossy magazine mailers (read; very expensive) in the mailbox promoting the county departments' services.(Really? Like they need more customers or we have alternative choices? )
