Call the GOP caucus in the House of Representatives, a madhouse. An echo chamber. A cool aid dispensary. One thing is certain, there is no walking back from the plank where radical GOP extremists have pushed the party. Next week is going to be a sight to behold.
Obamacare is going to launch with popular enthusiasm. This no doubt comes as crushing news to the cool aid drinkers. At the same time, the GOP will shut down the federal government to popular dismay.
Who is the GOP listening to? Leaders like Sen. Marco Rubio who simply lies on Obamacare, and repeats the same lies, as if to make them true? At the same time that millions of workers wake up to the news of down stock market and down economy, millions will embrace a sensible way out of the health care system nightmare. One party throws a pail of soot. The other party throws a life line.
The GOP wants to delete federal agencies it dislikes (ie. EPA), delete programs that serve the poor (ie. food stamps), delete the promise of a health care system to improve the lives of millions of Americans (ie. Obamacare), delete the history of serial foreign wars that have drained the US Treasury, and delete programs protecting the safety of Americans. But they want the federal government (ie., us) to pay for state disasters, state pollution, state infrastructure. One party fixes pain. Another party inflicts pain.
Tying the federal shut down with the launch of Obamacare is an historic, political blunder.
It is also an historic paradox. The GOP mastered the politics of messaging and message delivery, through simple, repetitive bullet points but has now boxed itself into a position where making the actions of the GOP majority sound reasonable, it has too much explaining to do.
Lastly, there is no way to explain why a party would keep pounding its own "DELETE" key.

The only people I know that like this obamacare are the ones that are retiring before they're old enough for medicare. And of coarse the people that think they can sit at home, not have to work, and not have to go to the crap hole free clinics or wait 24 hours at Jackson for a runny nose
These are the same kool aid drinkers that thought Romney was winning all the polls and would win by a landslide.
The sad part is these people are really anti-American. Obamacare was passed into law as per the constitution, the Supreme Court upheld the law, republicans have lost two presidential elections running against healthcare and one against Obamacare specifically, and they have lost seats in both the House and Senate since Obamacare. The American people have spoken. Why would they destroy the whole country and the global economy, to prevent the will of the people from taking place?
