Lynda Bell called Bigoted and Discriminatory. By Geniusofdespair

I had to write while on vacation because this quote from the Miami Herald was too good:

"Calling Lynda Bell "bigoted," gay-rights group SAVE Dade on Wednesday blamed the Miami-Dade Commission vice chairwoman for sabotaging a proposal to ban discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression."

"Time and again Commissioner Bell has taken the side of bigotry and discrimination," SAVE Dade Deputy Director Maria Barth said in a news release after commission co-sponsors dropped a proposed addition to the county’s gay-rights ordinance. "Lynda Bell’s outdated and anti-family views are completely out of step with her district. Her bigoted positions have no place in our county government."

I'm quoting a comment that was left on the Herald website:

"Now we have a 21st Century Anita Bryant -- and a wanna be mayor. The former president of Florida Right to Life finally reveals her true colors and they are not the colors of the rainbow"

To add: Lost a discrimination suit while County Commissioner during her 1st year! Was a one term Homestead Mayor (which is just theoretically impossible down there!) Let's not forget her active roles in the Right to Life, both locally and nationally. She even donated surplus campaign contributions to them after she lost for Mayor. Oh, the confederate flag crap too. She needs to go and Sosa needs to stop pandering to her. She's a piece of crap, always has been, and she is a true has been throwback to the build it or rock mine it good old days which led us to a financial & environmental mess.

I get the need to wage war on religion but isn't your beef with the sponsors who pulled it?
Just asking.

Lynda Bell is a disaster and she gives our entire county a bad name. As I remember when Anita Bryant took the her stand against our Gay community she ended up destroying her marriage, lost her orange juice endorsements and creditability in this entire state.
Word is out Lynda Bell is a BIGOT. She will never change.

You just found that out? GET RID OF LYNDA BELL

I'm not too familiar with all the specifics on this proposed law. However, I am very concerned whether passage of it would open the door to sex offenders and predators in public bathrooms.

Think about it for a second. Any man out there can put on a wig and dress up like a woman and have the legal right to enter a women's bathroom and simply "stalk" women and children. If they are reported, that person could legally sue the establishment while getting "his rocks off?" All at the expense of transgender individuals - I don't think so.

I am against all kinds of discrimination but this new law needs to be studied thoroughly before its adopted.

Now, didn't SAVE Dade praise the Commission for deferring the proposal in order to "educate" lawmakers down the line before it viciously attacked Lynda Bell for her vote? I don't know but I think that SAVE Dade is talking out of both ends to me

Even the left-wing state of Massachusetts left "public accommodations" out of their transgender rights law. Miami-Dade County government has officially been hijacked by gay agenda extremists

didn't i just read that bradley manning blames his espionage and other illegal activity on his gender confusion? so why would we want to condone that behavior?
