Get Ready To Barf. By Geniusofdespair

Someone in the county -- tell me why Rebeca Sosa appointed Lynda? Come on Pepe have someone email me: Geniusofdespair@yahoo.com. Why is our chair bestowing all the treasures on ONE County Commissioner.  Where is the love for Pepe? You all know I like Rebeca but her strange love fest for Lynda is alienating me. This is a definite for my barf meter label.

Here is the press release:

County Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell Named New Miami-Dade Sports Commission Chairwoman

MIAMI (June 27, 2013) – Miami-Dade County Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell was named the new Miami-Dade Sports Commission Chairwoman, taking over for County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, who served as Chairman of the Board from 2006 until January 2013. As Chairwoman of the Board, Bell will oversee the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, a public-private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization charged with bringing sports tourism to Miami-Dade County.

“It is a distinct pleasure for me to serve as the new Chair of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission,” said Chair Bell. “Our diverse community has become a major player in the field of sports. In this new capacity, it is my intention to aggressively develop strategies to help enhance our standing around the country and on the world stage by helping to establish new sport franchises in Miami-Dade County and bring as many sporting events to South Florida.

“These initiatives will help revitalize our local economy by bringing more sports tourists to our community, prolonging their stay here by visiting our world-class hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I look forward to working closely with Executive Director, Jose Sotolongo, and all the dedicated staff at the Miami-Dade Sports Commission to achieve these goals.”

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with Vice Chair Lynda Bell and her staff as we continue our efforts to make Miami-Dade County the Sports Capital of the World,” said Jose Sotolongo, Executive Director of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission.

Time for Pepe to retire to the keys and cut down a few mangroves.

Jose Sontolongo the advice given you is strap on your leather and do whatever Mrs. Bell wants or you will be mincemeat and gone. Take a lesson from Frank Nero, Natasha Sejas and the list grows just to name two important people and her friends. Well this committee is in trouble. If Jose does what she wants which includes give her daughter a job from FPL a job from the 311 center to his department. Just a rumor???

WOW! Why is Sosa giving so many committees and so much power to Bell? Incredible and amazing! Every time a new chairperson comes in we always think a good change is coming, yet we get disappointed shortly after. Sosa is no different.
So sad.
