Another Back-Door Assault on the Urban Development Boundary. By Geniiusofdespair

Lobbyists for Lennar are trying very hard to get developer friendly land-use changes through in the Evaluation and Appraisal Report so Lennar can develop the Parkland project.  They were at the Planning Advisory Board last week lobbying up a storm for Lennar.

Hired to lobby for Lennar are:

JEFFREY BERCOW (short one)
Lobbying for: EAR-BASED AMENDMENTS 4/12/2013
GRAHAM C PENN (tall one)
Lobbying for: EAR-BASED AMENDMENTS 4/12/2013
ANDY DOLKART (can make any number work for developers, pictured below. Also working with Bercow and Penn on Lennar)

Lennar's profits rose 310% in the 4th quarter. They are on a roll. The land in question is owned by Edward W. Easton (Lynda Bell got a lot of money in her 2010 campaign from Ed Easton and his companies) as Trustee for Krome Groves Land Trust (he paid over $16 Million for the land in 2004). I would suppose Lennar has an option on Parkland.

Parkland: Approximately 900 acre site (almost 1.5 square miles - half the size of the City of Aventura) on the wrong side of the Urban development Boundary.

Easton is BBF with Jeb.

All Floridians, we should start a movement to divest ourselves of stocks and funds that own stocks in developers like Lennar.

It's a good thing the voters of Miami Dade County at least made it official to have 2/3 rds of the commission approve moving the UDB. Parkland has been stalled for years and for years Bercow has been playing pansy for FPL & their environmental destruction team along with the Homestead Speedway. My concern is more with the 836 extension plan to Krome, which happens to land right in the path of Parkland. There are so many foreclosures in deep south dade along with stalled development. Whatever happened with Krome Gold across the street? It's still being farmed all these years later according to the tax roll. Those people will never get back what they paid for that land no matter what they do or how they do it. Unless they want to simply build 5 acre ranches, even that may not be so profitable. The upside is farming is trendy again with all the locals wanting farm fresh. It should remain that way unless we want to import our produce at an eventual higher price when we cannot produce our own food supply.

Can't wait for the full dog and pony show when this goes to the BCC! I wonder how much Moss & Bell & now Gimenez are going to sell out South Dade for? To who, we already know. Each has their own core groups of campaign cash from these deals. I need to include Jordan because of Florida City and her Mayor for Life brother as well. She might as well be Otis on the BCC.

Jeff Bercow never met a piece of wetland that he didn't want to destroy. This firm is behind all that is evil and destructive in Miami. Remember, they also employ Michael Larkin, the POS that is representing the even bigger POS's the Hochstein's (boob-god....how classy) in trying to raze the beautiful star island landmark home.
Bercow & Radell = destruction of what's good in South Florida!

The investor list is a who's who of some very interesting people and that's not a compliment. I did an archive search on this blog going back to Krome Gold, Parkland is almost identical. The 836 expansion needs to be killed immediately. That's a new issue, I guess coming about as a hail Mary. All I know is if Bercow is engineering an application, it's worse than bad! The MDX Board isn't elected. They're even bigger shill's of the URM because they hide in plain side. That's who's using over 5 million of tax money to "study" this 836 to Krome, which the BCC hasn't mentioned. Interesting. Thanks for reminding us the Environmental Destroyers are alive and well in South Dade. I'll get my barf bag now!
