Natacha Seijas vs. Lynda Bell: My Best Video Ever...I Think. By Geniusofdespair

Direct to YouTube

What do you think...it actually has a plot.

Everyone should understand that what looks like nice behavior on TV really isn't. Lynda Bell is seen complimenting Natacha Seijas's appearance and is all cheery and bubbly to her, as she lectures Natacha and stabs her in the back on Natacha's own legislation. What betrayal.

If you know the whole story, you can see when manipulative commissioners are on attack. This video gives you the back-story of what is going on. It is a short tutorial. For Bell to sit there and say to Seijas I am giving my money to this OTHER charity when she knows Seijas is there for the good of her own charity/job, is downright rude. Not that Seijas hasn't earned it. But Bell is supposed to be her friend.  She didn't have to vote for Seijas's proposal, that was bad enough, but the OTHER charity reference was a low blow by Lynda -- to the woman who is responsible for her election.

And, just a side note, having commissioners work for charities that the commission funds is a bad idea.

Genius - You did out do yourself on this one! This is a 10 out of 10!

Watching Bell, I don't think the barf meter is enough, she needs her own PoS tag!

I hope the voters hear Bell repeatedly say "not in my district" and "my $10K". Moss is just as bad though for enabling Bell when he is politically astute enough to stop her & he doesn't!

Lynda Bell is an idiot beyond idiots. It's not Bell's anything it's tax payer money. We all hear her loud and clear that she doesn't give a darn about her district or helping the people in it - unless they have violations in 8 1.2 sq mile (not in her dist), or her husbands mortgage holder - John DuBois or live in Palmetto Bay which has self imploded because of the antics of Bell & other morons.

What did Seijas really expect? What do any of those commissioner expect and what were they thinking when they anointed her Vice Chair?

Let them all destroy each other because the majority of the BCC deserve what they have coming, especially if they continue to support her ridiculous shenanigans!

Bell makes Seijas look like a saint and this is incredibly hard for me to think about let alone write!

Lynda Belll has a long history of stepping on and trashing those who helped her attain elected office. One day, all that will come back to bite her.

Geniusofdespair said...

You know first commenter you made me stop and think. She does make Seijas look like a victim. How hard is that to do? Nearly impossible.

Anonymous said...

Just like it was nearly impossible to NOT get re elected as Mayor of Homestead after ONE term! Yep, Seijas looks like the victim and never thought I'd see the day I'd actually feel sorry for Seijas! I guess Hell has just froze over which would explain our cold fronts!

What a video! Thank you so much for the notes to get me through it and understand between the lines. Now I understand this fast talking broad. She is completely evil. I did feel for Seijas. A small miracle, you did a wonderful job. Like the music too.

miaexile said...

omg,Stick to your principles, people feeling sorry for Seijas the manatee hater..her reign of terror is over and she deserves everything she gets, including the treatment from Bell. This is what is wrong with politics, it's not about feelings, it's about track records. These comments about feeling sorry for Seijas are exactly why I think Rick Scott will be re-elected; the voters have no long term memory left. Go search for all the videos where Seijas left taxpayers speaking at the podium out in the cold or was downright in their face rude. She's a horrible, horrible person.

Hi Miami Exile...while I most always agree with you, I think on this one people are finally seeing clearly what Lynda Bell is: a bully like Natacha. Whereas Natacha's meaness was direct and obvious, Lynda is sneaky - she disguises her contempt and anger pretty well in her manic delivery. I think that the readers are responding more to seeing Lynda for the first time as less likable than Natacha. That is astounding to all of us. A light bulb is going off in readers' heads: If this one was bad then this new one is really bad. It it is so subtle that most people haven't seen this yet from Lynda.

Anonymous said...

Miami Exile, I do agree with everything bad about Seijas including "she's downright mean". I think the point her is the ONLY ally Bell had on the Commission - at least out front was Seijas and look at what Bell did to her only former ally. It is astounding. Also, remember Seijas hated Sorenson, which is why she supported Bell because Sorenson supported Flinn in the Dist. 8 race. I'm guessing the majority of commenters on EoM couldn't have been happier to see her recalled, however, what this video show is the length Bell will go to to get what she wants for whoever she wants at any given time. She'll throw all the commission under the bus if it serves her purpose. For even ardent Seijas haters to see her as a victim, which I actually do here in this video is just amazing and the real Bell getting warmed up for two more years of working out of hate, spite and special interests, including giving our tax dollars to unchecked charities like it's her personal piggy bank!

What the hell is Patches? Probably some group with ties to a right to life group. Remember when Lynda gave excess money from Homestead to her RTL group in Almont Springs? Why can she never keep her money in her district?

Geniusofdespair said...

Patches is out of Fort Pierce with a facility in Florida City. Helps children with disabilities in house- there facility. Day care for children with special needs??

Anonymous said...

It is your best video! But there wasn't much competition from you.

Anonymous said...

All the commissioners should take a long hard look at this video because they could be next. No loyalty here.

Anonymous said...

PATCHES IS IN FLORIDA CITY with a site in fort pierce. all it takes is a second to GOOGLE instead of minutes to inquire on this site...

i do not always agree with the vice chair, but her allocation of financial support was a perfect decision.

As long as she is able to get the other commissioners to go her away, she will rule. She is going to do major damage to the county.

It is my opinion that this is an antisocial and destructive personality that cannot be trusted in the public arena. A vicious knife-wielding Jack the Ripper that appeals to and accepts kindness and trust and rewards it with betrayal and public humiliation. A self-destructive person without a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. A person without regard for the feelings of others. A disingenuous person who will manipulate others to get what she desires.

What have we done? Who is this person that we have elected to govern us? We do not elect those who will publicly humiliate and betray us. We as a people do not elect those that allow others to pollute our environment, take advantage of us, and injure our quality of life.

Bell is reckless, self-destructive, and dangerous. She must be stopped before she wounds us on the way to destroying herself.

District 8 Resident said...

You hit the nail on the head with that comment:

"accepts kindness and trust and rewards it with betrayal and public humiliation"

That is what Bell did to Seijas. She humilated Seijas and talked down to her as if Lynda were the expert. It was hard to watch such arrogance.

Anonymous said...

The part of the resolution you put in your video says: "Severely abused and neglected children."

Patches serves SICK children, that is not where the resolution says the money should go. Wouldn't any money to patches have to go only to the abused and neglected children in their care?

Geniusofdespair said...

Enough with Patches. This post isn't about the charity, it is about County Commissioners, betrayal, trust, etc. and our tax dollars as always.

Anonymous said...

As to the "Charity" situation and which one's are worthy - you're missing several points - this is not "her" money, it's taxpayer money and what about all the charities within district 8? She obviously doesn't know about them or she does and won't help those within an area she was elected to serve! Bell no matter how "church" loving and "god" fearing she may be within her own head appears to be more of an antitheses of what she wants to portray herself as because of her own words and actions. If the BCC wasn't a big enough cesspool with or without Seijas, Bell certainly takes the cake and probably eats it too in between getting jobs for her kids in the sweetwater PD (Diaz) and FPL - yes, she voted to approve their stuff after her kid got a job there when she should have recused herself.

Lynda looked haggard and manic in that film. She looked like she was coming off a hard evening of partying. Almost like she was on speed.

Anonymous said...

The combination of power and strong personality type is what is operative here. Seijas no longer has anything she needs, so she simply discards her, and essentially tells her 'take that, and don't come back agaiin'. What is also telling is that she got no votes from the other commissioners, members who served with her over the years, who have been with her through ups and downs, through good times and bad times, through a lot of history. As power group they have no feeling for one another, that is very unusual in an elected body. Interestingly, she also did not discard the countywide view, but simply made it at their choice. In this case she threw a bone to commissioner Moss. Her power strategy was simple, gain power over the commissioners, and I am sure she has studied them individually and knows how to play them with ease. We are going to have to get her out, and the weakest of the commissioners with her. My guess is she will destroy the Beacon Council, one way or the other.

Mrs. Seijas is now a citizen and not an elected official and certainly deserve more respect from Mrs. Bell than she got. Yes, I understand Mrs. Seijas as a commissioner but her position is different now.
My conclusion on this is Mrs. Bell will insult and demoralized citizens from other commissioners districts. I finally, see what Homestead said when they did not reelect her as their mayor.
Mrs. Bell your office staff cannot solve the problems you are creating.

Anonymous said...

I just wasted time watching and waiting for the backstabbing and never saw it. As a matter of fact ten other commissioners didn't see it either.
11-0 to support their own district organizations with funding, the nerve of them!
Genius I respectfully disagree with your take on this and agree with Lynda Bell and the other ten supporting commissioners who voted correctly.

Anonymous said...

To the anon above. Eddie or Johanna is that you? It's not working. Your rationale is not working. But we all understand your loyalty. LOL

Anonymous said...

You don't see it because you are not paying attention. When you are there for one charity and a commissioner says she is supporting another - to your face - you re being stabbed in the back. It wasn't necessary for her to say it.

Child advocate said...

I think I understand the issue. The fund is created from stroller permits proceeds which was Natasha's idea to begin with. AND it was meant to be used for severely abused and neglected kids. Which Patches children are disabled special needs children--- there is a difference in the kids. There are more funds available for children with disabilities than abused and neglected kids.

Anonymous said...

There is an ARC program run by the county that does what Patches does ...who does Lynda know at Patches?

Anonymous said...

It is so in Florida City.

Anonymous said...

None of the other commissioners disrespected Sejas to her face. But they ALL WANTED TO GET THEIR HANDS ON THE EXTRA MONEY. Only one per person was throwing her weight around and it was slimmed down Natacha.

Anonymous said...

But the interesting thing is, they all could be where Seijas is, on the other side of the dias, requesting assistance. Maybe they have not figured it out yet. So much for collegiality.

Anonymous said...

You have an interesting point about the relations among commissioners. In the end, Bell could have still won, as a matter of fact, it could have been agreed that she would loose, but they didn't even give Seijas ANY votes to save face. It was a complete shut-out. Seijas should not plan to appear before them again.

Couldn't Lynda have been being nice, trying to educate Natacha about other worthy charities? Why do you try to demonize Lynda? I thought she was being helpful.

Last anonymous: if you work for McDonald's and you are trying to get help for McDonald's and the friend you ask says "I am helping Burger King", that is disrespectful. A simple no would have sufficed. Watch the video again, and look up the word 'subtle'.

Geniusofdespair said...

Good point about no one on the commission giving Natacha a face saving few votes. I guess once you are gone they don't want to hear from you.

Anonymous said...

Bell is power hungry and has no respect for the other commissioners. She would just as soon cut their throats as look at them. It may take them a while to figure this out.

Anonymous said...

This is a lose/lose for Bell on this blog. If she gave it to her, it would be cronyism. If not, she's vindictive. I think the article is wonderful, though, Genius, because you provide the context, which many don't know.

I don't like the commissioners using "my" though. It offends me. The should refer to it in the third person and always as the taxpayer's dollars.

Anonymous said...

Natacha I don't think as a matter of policy likes the district distribution of funds (as it will short change group like the YMCA). Without her iron hand that policy is changing and that is why she was there. Without the slushfunds each district once had, they are trying to nickel and dime funds from anywhere.

Anonymous said...

Politically, this was not a smart move by Bell or the Commissioners. On Bell's part there could have been some accomodation to both groups, and the others would have followed her without question. She could have won with both groups and kept the integrity of the Commission in check. For the other Commissioners it was unwise to display a cut-throat dash for money for their disposal. It is always important to remember, that with former elected officials, there is always residual power.

Geniusofdespair said...

I actually thought Natacha was right so if Lynda agreed with her there would not have been a blog reader a couple above. Other reader/

They weren't voting on funding ANY particular groups they were voting on the funding as a block (as it was) or dividing up the funding by 13 (as was passed). Natacha wanted the one big grant with a countywide benefit.

Here's my take for what it's worth:

Anything item giving individual commissioners control of more tax dollars is going to pass no matter what. The Beacon council will be next. That's a given to anyone paying attention these days to the money hungry commissioners believing our tax dollars are their personal piggy bank to shower on their interest of the day charity or otherwise.

Bell is actually nastier than Seijas by this very telling and excellent video - it's an A+ in my book of what's symptomatically wrong with some politicians. There was no need for a bully pulpit the votes were already there but she went out of her way to demean Seijas the only person of power at the time who helped launch Bell in to a commission seat. That's a clear warning shot to anyone who helps Bell at all. It will be forgotten when there's a personal gain for Bell and someone gets in her way of it.

Another telling thing about Bell here is her temper and total lack of decorum and respect for the public. It's all about her such as statements like "my money"!

It took too many years to get Seijas out of office and I appreciate this blog giving the readers time to group and get Bell out as quick as possible. She doesn't need a second term of total destruction of the community including horrendous environmental policy and she should have zero control of our tax dollars at her personal discretion like the slush funds used already. It's bad policy in general.

I challenge any one of you to watch Bell go off when someone takes an opposing position. Manners certainly weren't part of her education or severe lack thereof or a very low IQ. She uses brute force instead of brains which shows just how stupid she is.

It will be interesting to watch how far the URM let's her get away with it. I don't think they will much longer and she will be a one termer and yes, I'll take wagers on it, if she's not removed for ethics issues.

Anonymous said...

I am not a fan of Seijas, but I resent the lack of respect and lack of honor shown to her by the Commission in this incident. Unless they have been found guilty of criminal wrong doing or something, they should be given respect by sitting commissioners and the community-at-large for the years of service during their tenure. In some cases they have given a good portion of their lives in public service and whether we like what they did while in office or not, they could have been relaxing, chilling, spending time with their families, traveling, or whatever else they wanted to do with their time. But they served, got up early, sat in awful meetings all day, heard everyone scream and cry, and went home late. For them to be treated like a dog when they leave is unacceptable.

The Vile One NAtacha Seijas disrespected so many and so often, that the karma will spill over into her next several lifetimes. Watching her get slapped down with smiles 'from her heart' makes me suspect she will be back before the commission with other requests, exercising her new slimmed venom.

Anonymous said...

The Vile one certainly has bad Karma coming for years. The problem is the County got a worse incarnation of Seijas with Bell. It's worse because at least Seijas was transparent about her nastiness this Bell person tries to pretend she actually cares about the community. Bell is worse than Seijas by a long shot. It took years for Seijas to morph into such a nasty person and Bell only two public hearings in 2011.

That money is NOT Bell's money. It is the taxpayers money... those people who have paid for the stroller permits.

How many shots of Jack did Mama June Bell consume before she posed for the Cutler Bay News pic?

This issue should never have been presented as a county-wide or district issue. Someone should have mediated before it go there. It should have been an opening it up to everyone vote. That way everyone has a chance, and it would not have revealed the cut-throat nature of the commission about money for their disposal.

Puddy said...

Where are you getting this betrayal nonsense? Did Bell pledge lifelong support to Seijas? Not that I remember. Frankly, I LOVE that Seijas got screwed.

Anonymous said...

A- wrong person to screw.
B- it was the first favor Sejas asked for since Lynda's win. First time she was in front of the commission since her departure.
C- it was not a necessity. Lynda had the vote she didn't have to rub it in.

Anonymous said...

Listen Commissioners justify their votes all of the time. That's all this was. Reading more into it is an interpretation that the author has a right to do.

Anonymous said...

Once you have the vote, real politicians find other ways to win too. In the old days, I remember one politician who would promise you his yes vote. Then behind your back, he would orchestrate a majority no vote. When the item came up on the agenda, he held to his promise and voted yes with you, while the item failed because the majority of the others voted no. You felt like he was loyal to you, and the others who you didn't know that well, weren't.
