Happy Thanksgiving. By Geniusofdespair

Here is my gift to you: Sharing one of my favorite songs with you - a protest song of course - written and performed by Marvin Gaye. Killed by his own father...sad. Maybe after that shameful pepper spray incident against students at University of California, Davis last week - we need a dose of Marvin Gaye's wisdom.

Link to another favorite video of another dead soul singer.

What a spectacular song. I never paid attention to the words before. It does fit with what is going on today. Happy Thanksgiving to both of you.

Wow! Our brains must be connected. Two days ago, I was cooking and playing -- in my kitchen -- Marvin's CD and thinking how very actual it is and what a special "social document" he left us in his "What's Going On"... It's amazing, and why not? Marvin Gaye was amazing and I have always been a great fan. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your readers!
