You're blog is breaking my laugh a day meter on some level! OMG, I wish I would have known, I love free Lox & Bagels and I know that place too!

Can you say "fish out of water". I'd even take the free breakfast, but ignore the moron's paying for it.

Hialeah Julio and his new "dawg"! Now, I'm off to work but will be giggling all the way through traffic and the image of this one!

take the breakfast even if you don't vote for Hialeah Julio!

Well, Genius, neither "Roba-i-na" --which means, in Spanish, "steal and do nothing else"-- nor Luther belong in the bagels set, even if they both are full of schmaltz! So, let them lose their time; better yet, it will be a day less they will have to campaign in friendlier territories. LOL

It's gotta be sponsored by Cancela -- he's a friend of Zev Auerbach, and Zev is an advertising mogul plus a commissioner for the city of Aventura, and a regular at Mo's. I assume all of this because, isn't Sergio Pino fully committed to Robaina?

i notice jonah wolfson on the host committee.

he's miami beach's own hialeah candidate. he got elected in a close race by accusing his opponent, in spanish of course, of doing business with cuba. hey, it worked.

Zev an advertising mogul....LMAO. Do you see his name on the invite? Hit on the link.

Jonah has asked to be removed from the event.

why did wolfson ask to be removed?

Geniusofdespair said...

Because he is not a supporter?

I say let's book'em at a bunch more jewish strongholds. I think it is a great way for him to spend his last week.

campaigns usually have signed edorsement forms. remember robiana pulled one out for Uncle Luke when it appeared he wouldn't show up at his press conference.

not sure where you are getting your info.curious where. could be right.

but i heard wolfson is paying robaina back for the soft money he raised him, plus promise to support his wife's judicial campaign. she's afraid of getting a hispanic opponent.

that's pretty typical scratching of backs in politics.

You obviously DON'T KNOW -- just like you don't know SO MANY things in this community -- that Zev sold the AdTeam to Omnicom for many millions of dollars. Ultimately, he's supposed to have made far more money than Russ Oasis made with Potamkin. He can quit his management position anytime he wants, but I guess his OCD forces him to keep working. I guess politics, Zimmerman (the ad agency that absorbed the AdTeam), and promoting the Kabbalah Center take care of his restleness. What's the matter? You didn't know he's a kabbalist? Oh, yeah, he's divorced too.

The last poster got it mostly right. Zev sold to Zimmerman, who then sold to Omnicon. Russ Oasis made far more money than Zev, who bailed early on their joint venture in radio station ownership and other ventures.

Zev is still extremely well off working at Zimmerman.

He remains a confidante of Norman Braman. He did some advertising work for Braman pro bono in the recall campaign.

I don't know for sure, but would guess he's NOT supporting anyone in the mayor's race.

I laugh because he is such a strange guy with no charisma and when I think of 'moguls' he doesn't fit the bill. I think of bigger fish. I knew he was in advertising but I know him as the guy in the Kabbalah ads.

Now I get it. Couldn't agree more that term "mogul" and Zev Auerbach don't really fit at all.

What are you all trying to do? Help Zev avoid the IRS? Give me a break, people, you are obviously not fully informed! And yes, Genius, you are right about Zev's strange qualities, but he is one hell of a businessman! Did you know that he helped Braman pro bono because he is, and has been for a million years, Braman's advertising agency. He's made some very serious money off Braman! LOL

At least Robaina pays us a visit. Gimenez, on the other hand, is an insidious anti-semite. I once heard him make a supposedly "humorous" anti-semitic remark. He didn't know, of course, that I was Jewish, and Cuban-Amwerican. Part and parcel of the guy's two-faced bigotry. If only Braman knew.

Rick-

Carlos is headed to Mo's at well, to say hi with Aventura Mayor Susan Gottlieb. I have never heard any complaints against Gimenez for being a Jew hater except from you. Gwen Margolis is a big supporter as are other Jewish people from District 4.

The Robaina people are so desperate at this point that they will accuse Gimenez of anything they can think of. Fortunately, Julio Robaina is so fake that EVERYBODY can see right through him. He looks and acts like a stereotypical used car salesman. Very sleazy.
