Cutler Bay Election. By Geniusofespair

Can't say I am inclined to get involved but I did get two quotes from Suzy Lotzell running for Councilwoman. I wanted to wait to get campaign reports from both candidates but it looks like it is not going to happen. Too close to the election.

I took issue with 2 things that Lotzell did. She took a $100 donation from Natacha Seijas. She said "I am new at this, I don't share her views. I work with Natacha at the Y."

Apparently the woman works with vile Natacha Seijas for many years (over a decade) and apparently has no problem working with her. Lotzell wanted me to do my research to find out who Suzy Lotzell was "The whole person." I wish she had done her OWN research on Seijas, over the years she has known her, to see how Seijas has systematically done more to destroy the environment than any other county commissioner and to see how Natacha bullied residents that came before her. Did Lotzell do research to find that out? Did she know the whole person the whole "Natacha"? We have written 349 post on Natacha Seijas checkered past.
Lotzell said further, "I am very proud of the all the money coming to my campaign." I personally would have returned Vile Natacha's $100.

Second bone I had to pick with her was the hiring of Natacha's guy Jose Luis Castillo who also worked on Lynda Bell's campaign. Lotzell said she met with many campaign managers and he was the best choice. Castillo's wife works for Lynda Bell by the way. Lotzell also said she didn't know anything about Castillo or his long history with Natacha. That made me think again, she should have done as she told me to do -- do her homework. Yes, I may be ignorant of the whole person Suzy Lotzell whom I never met, but she is ignorant of people she actually knows.

I made the phone call wanting to like her, but she just doesn't get that these things could be looked at negatives by others as to her decision making process. Natacha Seijas is not a negative in her mind. They are co-workers after all. If Lotzell's opponent got a campaign contribution from Carlos Alvarez her campaign manager Castillo would be all over it. I have news for her, who gives to you is an issue in your campaign or else your opponent wouldn't be broadcasting it. Who runs your campaign is an issue too. Right now, Castillo is the worst of the campaign managers with the most baggage in my book. (Pictured: Castillo with Natacha Seijas's former Chief of Staff Terry Murphy.)

Jose Luis Castillo helped Linda Bell beat Gene Flinn. He knows south Dade. Why would you not pick a winner as your campaign manager? Is it better to stand on principle and lose or get the most knowledgable people working for you? Campaigns are binary events. You either win or lose. As for the Seijas campaign contribution, who cares?

Susie LOYZELLE is probably the best qualified candidate that I have seen in a long time. Yes, she is new to politics and not giving the best "polticial answer" to questions. That's what I like about her. She's telling it like it really is. She works for the "Y" and has done a remarkable job there for years. The "Y" has any number of gifted people and not so gifted people working there. Natacha Seijas works there and is in a supervisory role. So she contributed $100 to the campaign of someone she knows and respects and works for her. Seijas has and will have nothing to do with the municipality of Cutler Bay politically. Seijas is finished.
Yes, LOYZELLE has a campaign manager. She was a newbie to campaigning and she had to pick one that she thought would help her win. Castillo won in November. I did not like his client that time. However, if I'm interviewing someone to do a good job, he better be a winner. Castillo's candidate won.
Pick the candidate who isn't mudslinging, going to neighbors to find some dirt or a member of the "boys only club". Do pick a candidate who will do a great job, has the best interest of Cutler Bay at heart and has proved over the last 25 years that she will contribute positively to whatever she works on. You can't find someone with a better resume, record and heart than Loyzelle. That's just how it is. Give the "Boys Club" the heave ho and vote for the right candidate. LOYZELLE!

Get used to Jose Luis Castillo. He is handling Bell so she doesn't self destruct like in Homestead. Castillo has been hired by the next Vice Mayor for Palmetto Bay. Bye, bye current vice mayor incumbent, don't leave the seat up on your way out. Castillo will also get Patrick Fiore elected as the next mayor of Palmetto Bay.

The truth is out about the newest club and its members in Palmetto Bay. Lynda Bell is taking over Palmetto Bay to ensure her continued elections and influence over the municipalities. Palmetto Bay loosers club, the Palmetto Bay Village Voice just can't stand not having control over the purse strings. England, Araiza, Zisman, Powell, Ludovicci, Thomas, Neidhart, Fiore and Tendrich, et al can't believe they can't control the huge reserve fund Palmetto Bay has accumulated. They hate Stanczyk because she can't be corrupted by the business group. That CRA England wants and the huge bankrolling of his business friends would have bankrupted Palmetto Bay just as the CRA bankrupted Hollywood. $8.5 million underwater. Too bad Flinn has joined up. He did a great job building the reserve fund they're trying to control. Maybe someone will let him know what they say about him when he leaves the room.
Honesty is not a word said in the same breath as Medina and Castillo. Whoever hired them, they are outed.

She says she worked with Natacha Seijas at the YWCA. Does anyone seriously believe Natacha ever showed up to work there? She was at county hall nearly everyday.

I agree with anon at top. Is this a moral debate
or a political one? If its a political one, then
Its fair to say that this Jose Luis guy
Is probably one on the brighter political consultants -strategists
Out there. Regardless of the fact that he's an ass....e.

You know turning your head away from the bad in people is disturbing. They are a whole package. You can't say for example, oh, but he was good to rape victims while he hates gays. You have to look at the totality not the parts and then not HIRE a person short on scruples. To look the other way when you don't like what you see sends a bad message to those who are thinking of becoming ethically challenged...it give them a push to the dark side.

I am nice to my mother but I fuck with other women....does one trump the other? Yes. He is a bad person.

That is exactly what taking a donation from Seijas is doing. It says what you are is okay with me.

I'm not liking this local Cutler Bay election, nor am I happy about what's happening in Palmetto Bay. However, if Castillo thinks by keeping Bell in Palmetto Bay and the incorporated areas, he's wrong on the vote count. UMSA voters will come out in droves against Bell, and a lot of the people who actually vote in the municipal areas will too.

I cannot wait until around 11/11/11 (my personal hand picked date) to start the recall of Bell. Castillo is not going to know what to do because he thinks he knows more than most, and that's when someone is an easy target to knock out (not physically - politically)

Sue Loyzell is the best candidate for Cutler Bay council. She has the education, work history, and personal integrity that is needed in Cutler Bay.I am also supporting Ms. Loyzell because she has run a clean campaign, while her opponent has done his best to frighten the community. As a resident of 28 years, and a member of the council, I am tired of ugly campaigning. Cutler Bay residents deserve better. I will vote for Ms. Loyzell.

It is unfortunate how far South Dade has slid. The area is the last frontier for the rock miners to take over. East South Dade was once known to be populated by the enviromentally sensitive. Now it has been taken over by Natacha Seijas's proxies Lynda Bell and the next level cronies such as Patrick Fiore and Sue Ellen Loyzell. Even Shelley Stanczyk and Brian Pariser are falling in line and bowing to Bell by turning their backs on Pinecrest and paying mere lip service to the struggle in preventing FPL from destroying our quality of life.

When was the last time that Palmetto Bay or Cutler Bay took on any policy fights? There has not been one word of protest from either city on any critical issue since November.

Mayor Cindy Lerner and Pinecrest are the last defense for the area.

Remember all this next when you vote in the next elections.

Geniusofdespair said...

Ellen Loyzell is not party of the Lynda Bell cartel. As I said, she just didn't know the ramifications of who she is taking money from/using in her campaign...

Sue Loyzell has been trained by VNS and Terry Murphy.... trouble is coming to Cutler Bay...

Rumor has it that Xavier Suarez will hire Terry Murphy as his legislative assistant. Some things will never change...

The logic of some of the posts above makes no sense. Palmetto Bay's government is populated with liberals. None of them supported Bell, except maybe Fiore who inhabits his own planet, so why all of a sudden would people think that Bell is taking over?

As to Castillo, he is small potatoes if he is spending this election cycle on a Cutler Bay Council race. Seriously, if the guy is such a player why hasn't he surfaced in the Mayor's race, which is the only serious campaign out there?

Lynda Bell is on a path of self-immolation because she is as green as Susy Loyzelle. Just an example: Bell's supposed to be a hard core Republican but doesn't have the balls to endorse Robaina despite the fact that Gimenez, an Alex Sink supporter, was up Gene Flinn's ass.

Oh please folks, lets get real. Policy statements will cost Pinecrest, according to Lerner, $200,000.00 on the FPL lines so far. You think Stanczyk and Pariser are that stupid? They didn't have anything to hang their hat on until the economic report came out with a statement of loss on US1. As soon as the report came out the support followed. PACE hasn't evolved because MacDougall can't get the contract squared away so that another city will take the leap of faith, Palmetto Bay, Pincrest, South Miami or the Gables. Nothing like an interlocal agreement that might leave the cities on the hook for all these energy efficient home improvements. It's real easy to say rally around the flag boys until the time comes to write the check. Flinn never had to write the check for FPL lines, PACE, the Green Corridor, etc. Check writing starts now. Ask South Miami and Pinecrest.
Of course Fiore supported Bell, they shared campaign teams and managers. You obviously didn't attend the big celebration at the billionaire's house on Old Cutler Road. Fiore and Bell both thanked Medina and Castillo. Castillo isn't in the race cause Gimenez doesn't want the stigma and Julio has one on retainer. Not everyone wants to participate in West Kendall politics. Besides, the truth about the AB fraud will come out and Castillo will go down.

To the airhead above. That attitude of underestimating the
Enemy is what has driven people like Fiore, Bell, Mary Ann Mixon,
and others to power.

This past week I went to a forum put on by the new Palmetto Bay Village Voice. I was shocked to see Eugene Flinn participating with the members that include Peter England, James Araiza, David Zisman, and the likes. Peter England came to my house with Lynda Bell during the campaign looking for votes. I was at a house party where they both attended and Patrick Fiore was also introduced. I attended to hear their story but I was a Flinn supporter.

I thought Gene Flinn was smarter than to join the losers club. He's actually joining a group that opposed his candidacy and is trying to take over his city. From what I see, they are trying pretty hard to destroy it.

Oh, Oh, I'm waking up now. It was just a nightmare that Flinn has gone to the dark side. Or is it?

I heard the same rumor about Xavier Suarez making a job offer to Terry Murphy. Two sleaze bags drawn together like magnets.

@ third to the last anonymous above. Who is the billionaire who owns the house on Old Cutler Road? Just trying to connect some dots.....

Geniusofdespair said...

You Palmetto Bay people are nuts you use any excuse to wedge your same old comments in. On Xavier Suarez -- he is a smart guy let's hope he doesn't hire Terry. He could become a good Commissioner. I have hope for him.

The Village Council race in Cutler Bay has two candidates...one works at the YMCA and Natacha is her boss. So Natacha donated a measly $100 of $10,000 and this deserves a blog post. Seriously aren't there better things to write about? And who cares about the campaign consultant?
If EOM cares so much, why don't you write more about how Gene Flinn's consultant and his stupid stupid accountability project. Or what Armando Gutierrez and Steve Marin are up to? Or what Al Lorenzo is up to?
Come on, now this race is small potatoes and Sue Loyzelle should be elected to serve out the term. There really is no comparison between her and her opponent, who seems to be a member of the angry men's club.

I don't live in Cutler Bay and honestly don't know much about their politics, but honestly, I can't imagine anyone having "clean hands" and work with Seijas for so long in innocence.

That's just an outside opinion. I certainly wouldn't support any candidate with the same credentials.

Castillo's wife works for Bell? Really? How much does she make? Fiore for mayor? OK, time to start excavating info. OOPS, sorry, bad word. Fiore not good for PB. Very concerning.

Peggy Bell and Mary Ann Mixon, 2 of the most liberal members of the CB Council, not only recruited Loyzelle but are actively campaigning for her now. Loyzelle is a good, bonafide Liberal. Period. Cutler Bay is a Liberal stronghold. Period.

Maybe she should have hired Flinn's "stellar" political consultant to get an honorable mention on this blog. Please.

In politics, you go in it to win. Period. And you hire the best shark you can get your hands on in order to win.

And isn't Barrentine a Republican? I went to the concerned citizens forum a while back and the more this guy spoke, the more he sounded like a hardcore pub. I talked to a few of the people that showed up for Barrentine after the meeting. They are ALL Republicans who despise Peggy Bell and Mixon.

Residents of Cutler Bay should be careful in thinking twice about Loyzelle, you could elect a real pain in the A** repub for 4 years -all because of a $100 contribution from a ghost.

But go ahead, shoot yourselves in the foot - again!

Just met that chuck guy at early voting... Oh boy!
You guys are beating up this Susie lady
Over this nut case?

Sad to say, nutcases do get elected. Just look at Fiore in PB.

Another election lost on absentee ballots. When will the county do something to stop this. Loyzelle had a 277 vote advantage in absentee votes and only won by 203 votes. She lost early voting by 2 votes and election day by 73 votes. So when verified voters were involved she lost. So even with a paid political campaign manager like this Castillo guy involved she still barely won and did it on absentee ballots that we all know are easily manipulated. That tells me all I need to know.
