Congratulations for a job well done!

I'm surprised you didn't mention the approval by Mayor Wallace (Florida City) to Civil Engineering to continue their rock mining efforts, despite opposition from County officials and the state. Good lobbying on the part of Civil Engineering's lobbyist, Sandy Walker, Mayor Wallace's and Commissioner Jordan's sister. What a great combination! It's not what you know but who you know. Where is Robert Meyer and his Ethics Commission -sleeping at the switch?

Happy Anniversary. This past June, we celebrated our 5th year online.

"What we would like is for you to send our link to all your friend! That would be a super gift."

I link at your site a lot, but it's gotten harder for me ever since you refused to link to us after I submitted my photo to your contest...it's hard not to take that personally.

Anyway, best of luck with year number 2. You obviously put a lot of time and energy into writing your posts, and when I see a good one, I'll continue linking it.

Gus. Re-send your photo. There were a few days when a few emails got lost... we want those photos! There's a new batch of Krome Gold award winning photos on the way!

GENIUSOFDESPAIR, sure, we're friends. Like I said, I think you all do an awesome job.

GIMLETEYE, you posted my picture back on Oct 7.

What hurt my feelings was you took the time to go back and update the post with my name and url, (after I mentioned it here) but neglected to add the link. I took that as a suble way of saying FU. Perhaps I was being too sensitive.

If anyone is wondering what this is all about, it stems from this picture.

I do appreciate the blogroll link.

Congrats!! Your blog is my daily sunshine, especially these past rainy days.
Best of luck in the future years.
I pray for the days when the posts contain positive events/work done by our county officials.

Vasta Natacha, fuera con tigo y tu comentarios vulgares.

Anon -- sorry you are wrong about the dozens. Gimleteye's posts on real estate and the economy and some of mine on Miami mortgage abuses have been picked up by the national blog by Patrick.net Housing Crash (hit link on right side of page) and other National blogs, bringing us the big numbers... and bringing us new regular readers from all over Florida.

P.S. Like today for instance, Gimleteye's post:
The housing crash and the disappearing middle class
is on Patrick's Housing Crash...one of the most popular blogs on the subject (if not the most popular)

Hi Gus, yeah don't be too sensitive... we're still figuring out stuff here on the internet/blogging... we could use a technical director (and revenue model!) and sometimes moving/writing too fast. Keep in touch!

And I loved the comment about dozens of readers, checking in here, hundreds of thousands of times!

:)
