Russia in the White House Infecting Democracy: So why are Miami Republican leaders silent?

Donald Trump's mental health is being scrutinized through his bizarre, chaotic White House. Meanwhile, some of these same questions could be asked of Miami's Cuban American Republican elite.

For more than half a century, the GOP in Miami was defined by strident anti-Castro views; a dictator dependent on the substantial help of communist Russia. no one railed more bitterly against Putin's ideological kin than Miami Cuban Americans.

So as it becomes clearer and clearer that the Trump White House has been compromised by Russia, a hostile, foreign power, the question is: why aren't Miami Republicans out in front, demanding the full investigation -- and whatever funding it needs -- to settle the issue: did Russia work with the Trump team, to swing the election and what did Trump know about it?

In the new book “Shattered”, liberal author and Politico editor Jonathan Allen has now revealed how the Clinton Campaign hatched the Russia narrative 24 hours after her loss to cover for their campaign failure! Citing multiple campaign sources and Clinton campaign staffers, the book highlights how Clinton’s strategy for losing the campaign to her hated rival was created in the late night hours t by campaign managers John Podesta and Robbie Mook.

“The strategy had been set within 24 hours of her concession speech. Mook and Podesta assembled her communication team at the Brooklyn headquarters to engineer the case that the election wasn’t entirely on the up-and-up. For a couple of hours, with Shake Shack containers littering the room, they went over the script they would pitch to the press and the public. Already Russian hacking was the centerpiece of their argument. The Clinton camp settled on a two-pronged attack – pushing the press to cover ‘the Russian hacking as the unreported story of the campaign, overshadowed by the contents of stolen emails and Hillary’s own private server disaster while ‘hammering the media for focusing so intently on the investigation into her email'”.

Because Cubans care more about Benghazi than a president compromised by Russia.

The book is by Amy Parnes.

There are way too many people in the Trump leadership who had contacts and relationships with the Russians during the campaign. Add to that the attitude of the President toward Putin now and during the campaign, and confirmation by all our intelligence agencies, and bingo, question marks. It is impossible for Clinton to do all that.

Because having lived through socialist/communist manipulation or having learned about it from their elders, they recognize farcical propaganda. The entire "Russia connection" to our election is a farce. It is a complete fabrication.

This may not fit with the NYT and WAPO issued talking points.

The federal government has closed its probe — with no charges filed — into former President Bill Clinton’s grants of clemency to four men accused of bilking the government of millions of dollars, authorities said Thursday.

U.S. Attorney James B. Comey said his office’s investigation into other pardons that Mr. Clinton issued just before leaving office will continue.

Comey’s decision to end the investigation of clemency for the men from the Rockland County Hasidic community of New Square takes the spotlight off Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who received overwhelming support from the insular community in her 2000 bid for the Senate.

During the election, she won 1,400 of New Square’s 1,412 votes. Two months later, over the objections of prosecutors, President Clinton commuted the sentences of four men from the village who had been convicted of stealing from federal anti-poverty programs.

It is puzzling that so many folks seem to be bewildered, shocked, outraged and angry that Russia is perceived has having influence our Presidential election. Reminds me of that expression “The pot calling the kettle black”. Name a country throughout Latin America, Caribbean and South East Asia that has not had its elections influenced by the USA. All is fair in Love and War and apparently in Elections as well. We are hardly the best role model to lead by example.

Could we get some of the California and New Jersey Cubans to influence our Cubans? I mean, I think we have the Cuban coffee on lockdown, but I think it is time for the Cuban Americans to wise up around here... They don't all need to convert, but they do need to start thinking independently from their families and also about current events. It does not make sense to vote a party line based on events from decades or quarter or half centuries ago....

What good is Cuban coffee, if you don't wake up?
