We need another French Revolution to get out of the Plutocracy voters have chosen. By Geniusofdespair

Earth to Trump: We only have ONE White House.

Somehow the middle class in this country think the rich, who have been bleeding them dry and dwindling our middle class numbers, are the answer to our prayers. They will save the economy and everything else. Rick Scott, what an example of a rich guy ruining our State. Even the Florida Democrats believe this rich guy savior routine, installing TerraNova (opererating over a billion dollars in Commercial Real Estate) Chief as their Florida party chair.

What's left of the middle class and angry white guys and gals are banking on Billionaire Donald Trump the ultimate flim flam man to save their sorry asses --- from what?? What has Donald Trump actually been installed to do? What do they think he can accomplish? All he has done over the years is get rich off the backs of others -- ripping off scores of people and he has used the system to increase his wealth (bankruptcies and tax breaks). What have rich guys done except fuck up our country (e.g. Koch Brothers with the T Party)?

And so far, what has Donald Trump done -- installed a bunch of really rich people to do his bidding. Marco Rubio, not even rich, is a zombie like politician who religiously follows the rich guy ethics hoping to be one some day. He actually voted to lift the pre-existing condition requirement for health care, hurting millions of plain folks like us. Does anyone see what is happening? Many of you have actually placed us in a plutocracy because of racism and your hatred/fright of immigrants.

Our country is royally fucked. Do you really expect all these rich people to generate jobs or anything? Betsy DeVos, Trump's nominee for Education Secretary admitted her family gave about 200 million to the Republican party. If she cared about education, why didn't she give to that?

The people Trump appointed will be cutting jobs and health regulations for their own profit margin. Those jobs you have been promised, don't exist. You aren't trained for the ones that do. Anyway there aren't enough of those kinds of jobs to go around. You can pick tomatoes angry white guy and try to better the health of your asthma/cancer suffering child, sick from polluted air and water,  because you won't be able to get health insurance. Or, will everyone become Uber drivers and retire with nothing. There might be jobs with "0" benefits.

You guys and gals that voted for Trump are as dumb as my socks that get lost in the dryer, never to be seen again.

The Rich are so in touch with your lives...

Unfortunately, the issues raised are valid and seem to be escalated by the cabinet and security picks.
The public wants clean air and water but the EPA pick wants the agency to keep a low profile with less regulation. No vow to keep preexisting conditions and health care to the 20 million enrollees with Obamacare. The education pick doesn't seem to believe in public education, instead wants more charter and religious schools getting federal money. Going on on with the new directions indicate a web of deregulation and corporate takeover of government services. Most times these have been tried in the past cost more taxpayer dollars and are less efficient.
Hang on for a long bumpy ride. The Trump voters will somehow continue to believe this will benefit them, when just the opposite will be the case.

From Wikipedia:

The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (French: Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen), passed by France's National Constituent Assembly in August 1789, is a fundamental document of the French Revolution and in the history of human and civil rights.[1] The Declaration was directly influenced by Thomas Jefferson, working with General Lafayette, who introduced it.[2] Influenced also by the doctrine of "natural right", the rights of man are held to be universal: valid at all times and in every place, pertaining to human nature itself. It became the basis for a nation of free individuals protected equally by law. It is included in the preamble of the constitutions of both the Fourth French Republic (1946) and Fifth Republic (1958) and is still current. Inspired in part by the American Revolution, and also by the Enlightenment philosophers, the Declaration was a core statement of the values of the French Revolution and had a major impact on the development of freedom and democracy in Europe and worldwide.[3]

The Declaration, together with Magna Carta, the American Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights, inspired in large part the 1948 United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Some Trumpers are now blaming the folks who DIDN'T vote for Trump for his election. It sounds like what an abuser says. "I didn't want to beat you. You made me. Look at what you made me do. Look at it!" Instead with the Trumpers, it's more like, "We didn't want to elect a crass, low-life, no-nothing, serial groper, but you made us. You made us! I hope you're happy!" I first registered as a Nixon Republican. Then I became a Democrat. Now, I'm an independent and there are times, like now, when I wish a pox on both their houses.

Fear is everywhere. No one wants refugees fearing they are terrorists so England and France's candidates with the build the wall mentality are on top.

We did cause Trump to win in a way. Hillary was a lightening rod candidate hardly inspirational.

Yes, the candidate should have been Bernie. The 4-5 major polls all had HIM beating all the other Republican candidates back in Spring. She had too much baggage but the powers that be (including that dirtbag Wasserman Schultz) wanted Hillary. After the Bush family, everyone was sick of the nepotism, so much so they overlooked the fact that Trump is a billionaire.

Maybe we'll get a real progressive after 4 years of Trump screwing up the country. Followed by an EDUCATED population to avoid this nightmare in the near future.

Sadly, far too many voters do not spend enough time understanding the issues....and they are just loaded with a heap of bad history.....I have neighbors with children and grand children in my new home of Atlanta who probably think of themselves as "good Christians" who voted for him....One a Catholic woman just retired from teaching!!! Her husband a retired airline mechanic...Another Catholic woman with five children and a dozen grand children....One Baptist woman retired from the federal court system who has all the benefits of the federal government. I have no idea where they are getting their news/information....Not main stream media.... .Now I understand how churches in the South turned their backs on Black rights....Seems we have gone nowhere....Certainly have made a huge U turn... The Republicans have figured out how to leverage a minority of voters (for Congress as well as for the presidency) to impose an agenda whose elements are (according to polling) unpopular with most Americans. There a lot of reasons for this, but there is ample historical precedent for a ruthless, disciplined faction (like the Jacobins or the Bolsheviks) to triumph over an disorganized opposition that doesn't understand what is happening to them and continues to act as if old rules of custom and decorum still hold. I fear that we are in just such a revolutionary moment, and that the destruction of American institutions may become permanent. Trump may have no coherent agenda, but the Tea Party-dominated congressional Republican leadership certainly does, and they are already busy altering the rules of the game to keep the power that they now have. If you want to know what the new politics looks like, look at what happened in North Carolina.

North Carolina has a democratic governor, the people are aggressive in their fighting back, and it is in the process of transformation. Because of these progressive views, more money people are becoming interested in investing in it and North Carolina may be the newest rich state.

We loved Hillary and did not know so many people had problems with her as she seemed like a shoe-in to us. Upon reflection, maybe a lot of the original Obama votes weren't pro-Obama, but we're actually anti-Clinton votes.
