Saturday, Dec. 10th at 5PM: Second Annual Ludlam Lights Festival ...

WHEN: Saturday, December 10th at 5pm
WHERE: Ludlam Trail at South Miami Senior High School

WHAT: Last year was an amazing success.  We learned a lot of lessons and expect an amazing turn out to raise awareness of this potential asset for our community.

Friends of the Ludlam Trail (FOLT) is a non-profit coalition.  Our mission is to convert the abandoned Florida East Coast Railway corridor into an iconic 6.2 mile long linear greenway with bike paths, parks & community gardens.  The Ludlam Trail runs from Dadeland straight north to the airport, connecting communities from West Flagler to South Miami.  Ludlam Trail promises walkable access to five schools, four parks and two transit hubs.  Thousands of children will be given safe routes to walk and bike to school in a safe, green space.  The new greenway will include large natural spaces, community gardens, bike and running paths, trails, playgrounds and provide healthy pathways for commuting.  The return on investment for our community promises to be exponential.  Ludlam Trail could be an iconic linear greenway spurring job creation, realizing immediate value increases for adjacent properties, and creating a major transportation and recreational asset across the heart of our city.

This promises to be a really great event. I hope we get a great turnout. Learn about the Lebanon trail and let's make it happen.
