Disturbing Trend: Rich People Can Do It Better. By Geniusofdespair

Maybe Dwight Bullard wasn't the right man, but the Democtatic party pulling strings to get Steve Bittel (aka rich developer guy) as a candidate didn't seem right for the party either. We'll find out because he won in Miami Dade and is on to the State election. Let's see him change this sow's ear into a silk purse (I am in England afterall). We all accepted DINO Rich Guy Patrick Murphy into our fold and even elevated him into our Sentorial Candidate with disastrous results. I mean, Rubio? Maybe the State Party is headed for a renewal, lets hope so (I have been a Dem since after the primary). But only if you are rich should be a prerequisite for party candidates and brass.

One bright spot Juan Cuba as local bigwig.

We need to pull together now and get back our state. Rick Scott won because he's rich....and now he wants to be senator. No matter how much money anyone has, its grassroots strategies and people actually showing up to vote that will decide the elections in 2 years. Time for ALL of us to get to work.

Hopefully the Miami millenials step it up and put forward some good candidates. Need some youth to keep up the good fight. We're very lucky to have the likes of Jose Javier Rodriguez.

Bittel won because of his strong organizational skills and because Dems had no credible alternative. Bullard is a fine fellow with good Dem values but he can't raise money without going to big sugar or FPL, and he can't even organize himself to file his campaign reports on time. How anyone imagined he would organize the party has not been explained.

Trump campaign was completely disorganized. And had very little money. You need a message, a cause to rally people to not money to win in Citizens United environment. This is just another disaster from the DWS/Clinton wing of the DNC party who just won't give it up, living in the past. The rules have changed, and these Democrats don't want to understand because they are careerists. Their cause is themselves not the people. The people have figured this out, so its time to change.

Nancy, puleeease on Juan Cuba. His first act as party chair was legitimize the illegal 200 membership applications that were the votes Bittel needed. Mind you, Bittel paid Cuba's salary as party executive director. Cuba sold out a while ago. Money and a lot of it from the usual suspects of crony, big business have seized the Democratic Party in Miami-Dade County. Remember, this is the same group of DEMs like Nick Duran who voted for the Republican over our Senator Jose Rimodriguez for legislative delegation chair.

We're either going for change or down the losing side for years to come.
