When women got the right to vote, Gwen was there to run for office. Well, maybe not that long ago, but it was in the prior century -- in 1975, when she first ran. Gerald Ford was President. She is best known on this blog for the story of when she was Chair of the County Commission and she tried to stop Natacha Seijas from speaking. Natacha said something like: I am going to send you home in a body bag. Seijas was forced to write Gwen Margolis an apology letter.
By Margolis running, she kept a lot of candidates out of the race. We will see who pops in now that she has announced she won't run. There is one self-funded candidate Jason Pizzo who is a LAND USE ATTORNEY. He was in the race before Margolis retired.
Truthfully, I am getting sick of self funded candidates with their BS about they are beholden to no one. Look at Phillip Levine and Donald Trump to know why I have changed my mind on that. Anyway, stay tuned. I think someone else will jump in this race.

I am in State Senate District 38, so I am particularly concerned that the ethically challenged DAPHNE CAMPBELL -- the worst Democrat I have ever seen or heard in my entire life -- does
not win. The right candidate has to run against her.

I know Jason from his time at the State Attorney's office. He's brilliant and hard working and is nothing like Levine or Trump. I didn't know he was rich until right now.
Daphne is the worst! She's more corrupt than Gimenez and his cronies. I rather have this Jason guy use his own money than taking money from FPL and big sugar.
I looked at Pizzo face book page and no no one on there. He has never been an activist in Miami Dade county.
Margolis looks like Lynda Bell in that photo.
Margolis is losing it. Glad she got ushered out before she can make any more decisions.
Jason Pizzo loaned himself $200,000 to his campaign account for a position that pays $30,000/year. What does that tell you about his intentions? I rather vote for the teacher who denounced Gwen and made her remarks public.
