An Event Not to Miss Tomorrow: The Dirty River Jam. By Geniusofdespair

THE DIRTY RIVER JAM
WHEN: Saturday at 11 AM - 11 PM

WHERE: Terra Fermata, 26 SE 6th Street, Stuart

I urge you to take the ride and go to this event. Meet the people in and around Stuart  and Naples where the Lake Okeechobee discharges tainted with Big Sugar Pollution are destroying their coasts. I am going. Wouldn't miss it. They finally get it North of us, to get the right politicians in office is the key to their success to save the environment. They are experience fish-kills, dirty water and now toxic algae.  When will we "get it" down here in Miami Dade County? Can we commiserate with our neighbors up North? Support them enough to go to their event and meet them face to face?

We need to get the right politicians in office. We need the Republican lock on the State Government to melt away to get the right thing done. Look at your Representatives' voting records. If they vote to support Big Sugar,  and against the environment, don't vote for them.

More importantly, meet the people supporting this new mode of thinking. The more organized people of the same mind get in Florida, the better off our State will be.
