Floridia Power And Light Tries to SNOW Miami Dade County's Saavy Citizens with a full page ad on Nuke Plant. By Geniusofdespair

Florida Power and Light defends itself against brutal assaults by its evil neighbors: Us. When a company has to place an expensive full-page ad in a newspaper, that should tell you something about that company.

Between all the Fish Kill posts of Gimleteye, I posted a warning that you should watch out for phony letters supporting Nuke Power, written by greenwash groups. There is another letter today by Bill Johnson supporting FPL --- Bill is the fired Enterprise Florida head. What a tool. The CEO of FPL is also an Enterprise Board Member. No surprise there.

Here is FPL's Full page ad in the Miami Herald. FPL: The stupid people don't get the Herald so who is this ad geared to?  I cut out the sun for space but you would think they might use it for energy instead of as a subliminal message to you that a star shines over their dumb ass company:

Hey FPL, how about the 14 million gallons you are pumping daily from the aquifer into your toasty hot cooling canals. The Florida Cabinet just approved that atrocity.

I stopped reading the herald ages ago. It's stuck in the stone ages and too in bed with the locals, so to speak. Thankfully, the Sun Sentinel actually reports more of what's going on in Miami, than the Herald does. I'm stating this because they basically are paying for an ad where the readers are either less educated or on the payroll! What is their actual newspaper circulation now? There should be a lot of people in Jail for what FPL is doing to the environment and our drinking water and the PSC allows them to continue while the politicians gladly take their contributions!

The circulation of the Miami Herald is 497. I have that on good authority: FPL.

The public relations campaign is very intriguing. Why does FPL they need one?

FPL lies, lies, lies with every statement they make. This ad claims the cooling canals are not leaking into the bay, yet the fact that the tracer for tritium has been found in the bay is proof positive that the canals are leaking into the bay, carrying with it all kingpd of harmful saline, and other nutrients. They seem to think they can say and do anything these days and get away with it. Well those days are numbered FPL .
The lawsuits will keep coming, as will the regulators. The public is fed up and mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

Let's not forget that FPL is one of the "world's most ethical companies" and yet it constantly frustrated the state and local governments efforts to monitor and report water quality changes in Biscayne Bay and the national park. Disgusting that they would put out this propaganda!

Hey Eric Silagy, STFU and clean up the water your company poisoned.
Why don't you and half of the idiot lawyers who helped you draft the full page ad come down to drink from the public water supply in South Dade? Show everyone how safe it is. The other half of the lawyers can answer for FPL when the lawsuits start getting filed.

Mr. Squiggy aka Eric Silagy is a pig. FPL has been poisoning Florida since the 70's Turkey Point broke ground April 67 and went on line December 14,1972 This is why Nixon did the Clean Water Act 1972 and Clean Air Act 1972 he loved Key Biscayne he knew Florida was paradise. He also knew power producers did not give a rat's ass about the environment. Turkey Point was compromised beyond repair since August 24,1992 Andrew. They have known about the faulty nuke system and done duct tape and toothpicks patches 25 years. Employees who talk are silenced the nuke industry has a black book once you talk you never work in your field again. FPL has been mixing Operations & Maintenance money with other money for years to keep those Bernie Madoff returns coming. The FTC, FBI, hell Homeland Security needs to take down this Ponzi scheme. They are risking our health, safety, and welfare. FPL actions border on Treason.

Water Goddess: FPL doesn't need a ponzi scheme. They have the Florida Legislature and PSC handing them cash, so no need for elaborate schemes.

They're seeking a rate increase and increased guaranteed profits. Want to take bets on how quickly the State gives them everything they ask?
