Turkey Point Nuke Water From a Closed System, Found at High Levels in Biscayne Bay. By Geniusofdespair

Aging Plant
Nuclear Power Radiation tainted water is spreading into Biscayne Bay.

Miami Dade County has found tritium in Biscayne Bay. The level in canals at the Nuke plant is at 215 times normal levels and almost the same levels have been found in our aquatic preserve, Biscayne Bay according to the Miami Herald:

"...water sampling in December and January found tritium levels up to 215 times higher than normal in ocean water. The report doesn’t address risks to the public or marine life but tritium is typically monitored as a “tracer” of nuclear power plant leaks or spills. County staff concluded the findings are “the most compelling evidence” that canal water has spread into the bay.

The study comes two weeks after a Tallahassee judge ordered the utility and the state to clean up the nuclear plant’s cooling canals after concluding that they had caused a massive underground saltwater plume to migrate west, threatening a wellfield that supplies drinking water to the Florida Keys. The judge also found the state failed to address the pollution by crafting a faulty management plan.

This latest test, critics say, raise new questions about what they’ve long suspected: That canals that began running too hot and salty the summer after FPL overhauled two reactors to produce more power could also be polluting the bay."

Just build a convention center on the property. That will distract everybody and raise money for repairs.

Somebody trow some marijuana in the canals, That will get the Federales on location in a jiffy.

Is that going to explanation for 36% higher pediatric cancer cases in South Florida?

Hoping someone maybe even from this blog was at the commission mtg this am and will be writing that up? Really hope the commissioners take some action to reign in FPL in Biscayne Bay - the state sure isn't going to do diddley

215 times more tritium in Biscayne bay will result in many claws on stone crabs and one ton shrimps if you consider the bright side to the story.

Why call it Tritium when most people know it as Heavy Water the same stuff the US forced Iran to ship out of the country.
