Hudstead will get out in front of this by finding one example that happened in Naranja or Leisure City and fault the entire statistical process. That has now become an annual event as to political spin.
Gimenez has gutted the capacity of the Miami-Dade Police to serve the countywide Sheriff functions. We no longer have the ability to manage criminal activity across the board. But, we do a lot of patrolling in unincorporated Dade.
I don't know about other cities, but I do know Miami Beach does not provide records to any online crime reporting website. It hides crime by doing this. The code division gets the thousands of noise complaints which do not show up in the police department records. Another way of hiding the data.
