Rosen told the Herald the golf course project is over and it will turn brown. The Homestead City Commission did this to you because they accepted Rosen at his word. The negative publicity is not what any land baron needs. So if he is not going to renovate he had no right to close it. Why did he buy it?
KGRA get a lawyer. The DRI calls for a 150 acre golf course. He owns it.

Wake up Homestead you have been given a lesson in credibility.
So he turns his back on those 43 Homestead residents he promised jobs to. Wonder how his four stooges will vote on his next appearance in council chambers? They showed their loyalty to him and not the process.
He is now a confirmed liar only interested in money that they would pass onto him from the poor.

The golf course is zoned for townhomes and multi-family homes; there is some mixed usage and commercial as well. It will only be a matter of time before the land usage for a golf course is removed. Keys Gate is screwed! I see in our future thousands of units going up, my guess low income units. Thanks KGRA, Steven Shelly, Jon Burgess, media outlets; now we can truly be crowned HUDSTEAD!

I would like to thank Wayne Rosen for supporting campaigns. You reap what you sow.
The campaign managers are mostly real estate brokers and agents, so instead of high priced home commissions they can now collect rental commissions from HUD on a month to month basis.
The plan backfired bigtime.

Look at the big picture folks he took a calculated risk just like with the keys gate homeowners now He can blame everyone else and get what he wants that's highest and best use for that land . Venetia gardens all over again crime, traffic, congestion thanks Jon Burgess your the man.

Thank you former Vice-Mayors Shelley and Burgess for asking the tough questions some of your colleagues ignored and never wanted answered. You exposed the bully for what he is. Cheap and arrogant.

I guess he figured he could whether the exposès on the blogs. the Herald maybe even 60 minutes and Fox news but when the Comedy Central producer called, he knew he was toast.

When you moved in weren't you given a brochure with a golf course? Sue the bastard. Don't blame Shelley and Burgess because you were ripped off. Look at the Docs. Hold his feet to the fire.

He bought the course and clubhouse and promised to refurbish it. He just left out the part of by hook or by crook.

Only one to blame here is Rosen. He had a 4-2 vote to proceed to HUD. Rosen is the one that pulled the plug, once again he has stuck it toHomestead.

How much of the $3.5 million would have found it's way into campaign accounts of candidates Rosen supports?

Keys Gate residents, read your docs or pay someone to, and sue accordingly. It's not up to the government to bail you out, unless there's been criminal activity, then people should be prosecuted and restitution made.

With all the corporate welfare going on in this State and County through Gimenez, Rosen is just a small fry who got polarized. Too bad the real thieves of Miami Dade haven't been hung out to dry on the Daily Beast!

It seems to me that Rosen left four councilpersons hanging out dry as well.

The original folks at The Shores in Keys Gate are still waiting on their community center and pool that they were promised when they moved in.

The Herald quoted Rosen saying his daughter read the Daily Beast article and it opened his eyes when she asked him why are you stealing from poor people. Wayne should let her read his depositions and see his cash, her future inheritance, going into campaign treasurer reports and a fried fish restaurant.

I have original docs from 1987 and there is nothing saying the golf course was part of the KGCA. It mentions it as a separate entity...

Would Rosen's closing of the golf course be a breach of the DRI? The problem may be enforcement since he also contributes to Gimenez and Rick Scott. There's nobody left to enforce his violation.

It's not part of the KGCA but it is in the DRI. Funny that the KGCA charges fees for the tennis courts which are within the same property. Who is cutting the grass and maintaining the tennis area? There is some slight of hand going on here.
Why does Keys Gate realty show pictures of the golf course if it is not related as an amenity of the neighborhood. KGCA=Keys Gate Realty that's why.

Tell your daughter the truth,Wayne. Here's how it should go:

"Honey gaming the system and owning politiicans is how we live in this palace behind the gate, with full time gardners, a nanny for each of you and your brother, maids, butlers, cooks. All of that and your mothers shopping sprees before she picks you up fom your exclusive private school are not cheap and who better to pay for that than the people of Homestead who have been stupid enough to elect my people since long before you were born." Now,go get ready for school and don't slip on the highly polished granite floor."
