Miami Dade County Chair Jean Monestime Dismisses his Chief of Staff as of Nov. 20th. By Geniusofdespair

Gone November 20th but don't come in immediately:

No explanation from Gerard or Jean on what happened -- just this letter. Hmm, anyone have the scoop?

This is odd. Must have been a mega falling out.

Gerard is consummate professional and a true statesman. Miami-Dade County is a better place because of his work.

Monestime has bungled his chairmanship. He can fire his entire staff if he wants, but that won't cover up his poor decision-making. He voted to name a street for a man who discriminated against Blacks. And he doesn't let the public speak at "public" meetings. He will have to answer for those decisions should he choose to run for Frederica Wilson's congressional seat.
