Banksy: bring Dismaland to Miami! ... by gimleteye

The despair-themed "bemusement park" coordinated by street artist Banksy opened yesterday in southwest England, with large crowds sullenly waiting to buy an entry ticket to the site specific installation, featuring some of the planet's famous artists.

The BBC published a riveting report yesterday. Read it here.
Readers, what would "Miasmaland" feature as exhibits?

I really like the idea of a Miasmaland. How about: a) a dead coral reef, b) tourists packing a six foot strip of beach, c) a chance to win a ticket to sit a traffic jam.

An "iconic animal hall of fame for famous extinct Florida species" featuring the Florida panther and supervised by state troopers who all look like Gov. Rick Scott?

How about during Art Basel? Banksy could locate Miasmaland in an abandoned mall or maybe put the exhibition at the Dade County Youth Fair. Or in Overtown or Liberty City there has to be some space suitably edgy for all the visitors in Prada.

Utility and power grid managers in the U.S. are learning that the best way to cut carbon emissions and improve efficiency is the easiest: Just change your lightbulbs. The nation’s largest grid, serving more than 61 million customers from Washington to Chicago, is revising its demand forecasts after recognizing that better lighting has undercut its projections. Swapping all of Thomas Edison’s incandescent lightbulbs with lamps containing light emitting diodes, or LEDs, would save enough electricity to power 20 million American homes, according to the Energy Department.

Banksy: a pile of incandescent lightbulbs next to a mock up of Fukushima nuclear plant destroyed.

Yes, compare it at the same scale to bacteria growing in a petri dish.
