Miami Lakes: Oral Arguments for Town Appeal Against Judge Cardonne Ely's Opinion that Michael Pizzi Should Be Mayor. By Geniusofdespair

Watch it on YouTube

It is long but you can move it back and forth. It is very interesting to see what the 3rd District Court of Appeal heard and their comments.

Michael Pizzi said:

My vindication in a court of law automatically requires my return to public service. I look forward to the court’s ruling declaring that the Town must follow the rule of law by allowing me to resume my responsibilities as the rightful Mayor of Miami Lakes.”

Circuit Court Judge Cardonne Ely ruled Michael Pizzi was the rightful mayor of Miami Lakes but gave the Town 30 days to appeal. That 30 days expires April 30th, this video is the oral argument of the appeal (there are also reams of supporting documents to accompany the oral arguments).

It is truly pathetic the way Wayne Slaton has tried to hold on to the mayoral seat that belongs to Pizzi. Slaton has spent hundreds of thousands of our taxpayer dollars in his desperate attempt to cling to power.

Pizzi has won at every level so far, and he will no doubt win again. The law is crystal clear. Can't wait for all this to be over!

"The law is crystal clear"! Wow, a great quote from a disgraced ex mayor caught taking bribes of all places in a pool hall! If Pizzi had a shred of decency he would be hiding in some hole now after the embarrassment he has put the TML with his arrest, indictment, trial and subsequent verdict based on the testimony of two lying jurors- one, former Council member George Lopez who says How high? when Pizzi says jump. Hope this issue drags on until the next election so the citizens of TML can finally say NO to Pizzi and send him packing back to Brooklyn. The court of public opinion is still out on this issue and no fancy lawyer in a bow tie can change that Michael.

If you are not commenting on a video that took me an hour to figure out how to post, don't bother. At least watch some of it before you comment.

Learn how to read my comments. It was a lot of trouble to get that video up for you as I have a 15 minute limit on my account. I had to increase it for this video that was in a format that my blog would not take nor YouTube.

Thank you for taking the time to post the Third DCA Oral Argument. It is clear that the Justices were well prepared, except for a few lapses by the Chief Judge miss peaking Ordinance for Town Charter. With that said, the Panel could not overlook that there was an unconstitutional and statutory unfairness in the Town and Slaton argument. That is, innocent or guilty, you're out! The Court ruled correctly. Interesting , I wonder if an amicus brief from the Graham family would have made a difference. I think it prefers Slaton and less drama, but I think even they realized the flaw in Slaton's argument--

Thank you for posting the video. After watching it the court's conclusion that Pizzi was only suspended not removed from office was correct.
Even though Pizzi is a liar, crooked politician and scumbag he is entitled to the office to which he was duly elected.
I hope the citizens of Miami Lakes initiate a recall petition expeditiously. That's what Ben Kuehne said they could do to get rid of him.

Also there should be a state law prohibiting the employment of any elected official by any other political entity in the state or allowing them to lobby for or before any other entity except for the one to which they are elected.
