The Youth Fair Fights Back On FIU Land Grab at Tamiami Park. By Geniusofdespair

The Youth Fair doesn't want to be out on the edge of the Everglades. They are not liking Florida International University very much these days.  This full page ad was in the Miami Herald Sunday.

Please hit on it so you can read it. Especially read the bullet points.
After reading this, I doubt the Youth Fair would want to be on that patch of land that the American (wet) Dream wants as some bloggers are saying.

Interesting that Rafael Garcia-Toledo, the mayor's buddy, is part of The Youth Fair, Inc. board and Al Lorenzo is a regent at FIU. Mayor Gimenez had all the pieces in place. The Youth Fair, Inc., did not even oppose the amendment we voted on recently. A little late to claim foul play- you have been played.

I have not been played. I don't care about the issue.

Actually the money speaks volumes. Why should the Fair have gone to much expense fighting a fight that they do not have to deal with when they have a lease. That vote was meant to drain their money and their will to fight.

Elections in this county are rigged. What the politicans and lobbyists do, the court system has to undo.

Put the Sky Tower on the land next to the UDB.

FIU should just go vertical. If FIU needs more land it should buy property in the urban core downtown. Doesn't FIU teach urban infill? Or is FIU so backward its professors teach sprawl and the benefits of invading the Everglades?
