Give yourself a Christmas gift, become aware of Manipulation and Propaganda. By Geniusofdespair

If you come away with remembering just one of these, my Christmas gift is granted.

Javier Souto does this all the time.

This is the lobbyists' playbook. They innately know this stuff. Become informed.

So does South Miami's Mayor for Life.

This is exactly what convicted Mayor Steve Bateman and should-have-been convicted Mayor Michael Pizzi practice. At least Souto has never been handcuffed and paraded for any criminal act.

Where did you find these? Where are they? I love em.

The first one I found at the New York City library trying to get people behind the war effort. The rest I found at the Albuquerque New Mexico nuclear museum, mostly referring to the A-bomb and World War II.

Hogwash. Absolute hogwash.

All these examples are thought in marketing training, albeit renamed to convey a positive attitude.
Voters should get minimal training in marketing techniques, so as to being able to recognize manipulation by the political shysters.
The same training comes in handy during all sales people encounters and when siting government try to sell you a kettle of fish. Weapons of my ars destruction, any one?

If you weigh out the value of the information that I obtain just from reading your blog each day for one week only vs. reading The Miami Herald each day for one year only...

Anyone care to guess which side would be more informative towards conveying reality???

To the WMD skeptic from the bastion of conservatism, the NY Times.

From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein’s rule.

In all, American troops secretly reported finding roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs, according to interviews with dozens of participants, Iraqi and American officials, and heavily redacted intelligence documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

The United States had gone to war declaring it must destroy an active weapons of mass destruction program. Instead, American troops gradually found and ultimately suffered from the remnants of long-abandoned programs, built in close collaboration with the West.

The New York Times found 17 American service members and seven Iraqi police officers who were exposed to nerve or mustard agents after 2003. American officials said that the actual tally of exposed troops was slightly higher, but that the government’s official count was classified.

Don't believe propaganda but keep your eyes, ears and mind open to all information and form your own conclusion.

which tactics will be employed by the BCC to push thru declaring a rare forest, "blight" so a theme park can be built on it?

Carlos Gimenez's second favorite lobbyist, Jorge Luis Lopez, uses these techniques. Plus, he uses several that are not printable on a family blog.

Name all the tactics Nitwin Mowani and Keon Hardemon are using to transfer the taxpayers money to Nitwin and his developer pals? Stealing from the poor to give to the rich... Age old scheme.
