Election Day: it's here! … by gimleteye

I've been biting my tongue about this election cycle. Really.

The other day, Fabiola Santiago wrote in the Miami Herald to the effect this is the most forgettable election in US history. I am also fed up and particularly with the tidal wave of negative campaigning whose main purpose is not specifically shock to gain your attention but mainly to find a way into the small percentage of undecided voters since the majority have already chosen their flotation devices or simply headed for deeper waters.

For many reasons I hope this will be the most memorable election in US history. Before enumerating them I'm going to wait until the results are in. Today it is not about my opinion. It is about yours, expressed at the ballot box. VOTE!

Come back after 7pm for early voting results.

Done! Now, let's pray for humanism and common sense above conglomerates. But, just in case Florida retains its Martian, any suggestion for a good state that may have some natural resources left, where you do not freeze in January?

How about the 51st state of South Florida. It's warm and we still have painted buntings.

You have gone a great job laying out the issues over the last four years. Why anyone would vote for Scott is beyond my ability to process, but then again some people like to hurt themselves. It would be helpful if voters would let us know how things are going at their polling places when they vote. Perhaps, give us the precinct number, a sense of the voters and the smoothness of the voting process.

The creeps doing the direct mail and ads for the $393 Mil new Courthouse bond issue have stopped mentioning the $393 Mil bond in their ads. Now it is 100% scare the voters, 100% of the time. They should be ashamed of themselves!

The amount of robo calls I got is outrageous. They are so annoying! I think it hurts the candidate more than help. I'm sick of them! So is everyone else I've spoken to!

Scott re-elected!
NO to marihuana!
Curbelo beats disgusting Joe!
FIU wins!
No $ for the courthouse!
And throughout our nation, America is waking up and coming to its senses!

What a great night!
Thank the Lord!

The "amount" of robo calls is incorrect. It is the "number" of robo-calls. Anything that can be counted, even the grains of sand in the desert is "number". Anything that cannot be counted, i. e., water, is "amount".

The only Lord who is involved in this is Lord of Darkness.
