Hmmm....What is up at County Hall? By Geniusofdespair

STATEMENT FROM Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez

“Out of an abundance of caution, a Miami-Dade Police Department canine sweep is being conducted at the Stephen P. Clark Center. Further information will be provided when the sweep is concluded.”
"The evacuation occurred during a public meeting, and commissioners and their staff crowded the escalators leading to the lobby as security prepared to sweep the board chambers for explosives."    9/11 connected?

My husband went down there for business and couldn't get in. He said it was surrounded by police and the bomb squad was there. Don't you hate when that happens? Guess he'll try again tomorrow.

I watched tonight as a high-powered Miami-Dade lobbyist led the overthrow of the Coral Gables police chief and county manager Alina Hudak's husband was named as the new chief. What's up with that?

Coral Gables seems to be imploding. They put MPA's Art Noriega and Billboard Bockweg on a short list to be their City Manager? WTF?

Once when I worked at the 111 Building, my boss left a lunch box on a filing cabinet and walked away - he was forgetful like that. A little while later, a bomb sniffing dog appeared along with several cops. Poor man never got his lunch!
