Doral golf course owner Donald Trump is blocking the long time views of the golf course by residents with Areca Palms leaving residents without light and views and diminished property values.
The high growing trees (they are classified as trees and grow over 20 feet and 8 to 10 feet in diameter) are being planted up against the people's units property line blocking their light and view. Donald Trump has left the people weighing their option of selling out their communities to highrise developers.
Donald Trump is a greedy bastard in my opinion. He should agree to buy the land so he has control on what is built instead of screwing the homeowners who were already there. He has this illusion that like in other States, golf courses should have no development around them. You can't do this in Florida as housing always surrounded golf courses. Golf Courses standing alone has never been the case in Florida so Donal Trump has to wall off the public.

He deserves high rises that he can't hide rather than low rises that he is essentially destroying homeowner's quality of life, people that never hurt him. Homeowners bought their homes under the assumption they would have lovely views. Instead the government of Doral is paying Donald Trump $2.5 million dollars to stage a beauty pageant at the golf course. Now how stupid is that. Giving tax money collected from golf course folks to one of the guy that is screwing them, one of the richest guys in the US. It is salt in the wound.
Keep the Donald out of Miami. He is not worth it. TV Channel 10 captured the situation on camera. Maybe the people will picket during his beauty pageant, Miss Universe. The embattled mayor of Doral, Luigi Boria, is taking a lot of heat for the money promised Donal Trump, betraying the people who put him in office over the carpetbagger Trump. Be sure to watch the video. One lady said they should get their guns and their ammo and go after Trump.

This is happening all over Florida.
What can be done to stop it? You can't put 28 foot hedges on your property without a permit.
Maybe we can put a big sign on our roof. What do you think. Or picket for a few months. I would pay someone to picket.
Oh my god, Donald Trump is planting trees! Tall trees. In Doral of all places, a town with Tree City USA designation and a green plan. He must be stopped at once.

Planting a tight wall of hedges that grows 28 feet to spite your neighbors is not in the spirit of ANY tree planting. They can't even grow properly.
Unfortunately, owning a house does not come with a guaranteed right of a view that you will like (unless you live in a community with a really strong HOA and restrictive bylaws). It sucks, but its legal.
Two separate issues GoD. And I do not support Trump on either (although, holding the pageant in Doral is a major Coup for the city - just curious how they will deal with the additional traffic issues).
Golf courses are often developed into housing when the economy declines.
Nobody is entitled to views.
Trump is a businessman and has to do what is good for him .
The crook here is Miami's Mayor Gimenez who simply allowed Trump to buy the golf course without putting it up for highest bid as city law dictates .
