Armando Codina Quote. by Geniusofdespair

While accepting the Real Estate lifetime achievement award Armando Codina said:

“If I live to be 100 years old, I can’t repay what this country and Miami have done for me. ... People talk about what Cubans have done for this city, but Miami has done a lot more for us than we have done for it.’’

I hope County Commissioner Javier Souto is listening.

Miami benefits from pioneers who struggled for decades before Miami even had electricity. Now Miami thrives due its great weather and Florida's lack of a state income tax. No one group can take credit.

Codina is being simply politically humble. If his best buddy, Jeb! runs for president, Codina wants to go along for the ride, and he can't be arrogant to get there.
