Sports Day: what's wrong with the Sochi Olympics … and what about those Miami Dolphins? … by gimleteye

The Olympics brand has wilted in mild Sochi, Russia.

The not-winter Winter Olympics are being dragged across the finish line, weighed down by slush and freakishly warm weather.

Then there is Vladmir Putin, whose response to global warming is to shrug then smile to the extent over use of botox allows.

Putin's half grimace is not so different from the Miami Dolphins management, under pressure these days for glossing over sordid behavior.

The Dolphins will put some policy in place so "this never happens again", but my policy will be to never buy a Dolphins ticket or watch them on TV.  No tragedy there.

But when the winter Olympics are a memory, because it is too warm to hold them anywhere: that will be a tragedy.

I live in the Northeast and I would welcome global warming. We are receiving more snow now than ever.

Oh, there can ALWAYS and forever be Winter Olympics. They can be held in the mall in Dubai.

Ski Dubai, since 2005, is an indoor ski resort with 22,500 square meters of indoor ski area. It is a part of the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

I guess the gay rights thing lost steam and there was no terrorism, so this is all you have left.

The Dolphins won't miss you. No tragedy there.
