Maybe Rosa will be a sponsor of our first "Sand In Your Eyes" Award. Readers, there is still time to vote in the Green Colored Poll on the right … do it today!

I do think we need a grand press release to announce the winner. Maybe a party too. And we can do it at the port or at PAM. It will be glorious.

Art world will blacklist them.

If by Art World you mean Alberto Ibarguen, Greenberg Traurig alumni et al., perhaps. But who gives a good f@#k about that?

I should remind readers way back when the Performing Arts Center was being built, a lot of private funds and pledges went in to building it. Our Tax Dollars too. At the end of construction, almost double what was proposed Arsht paid cash to finish the project. The reason the private donors were not so mad about the naming is because without Artht using her own money to finish this, it would not be today, or would be still under construction. The same with Frost, they used their own money, saving the taxpayers. Perez started his career on the taxpayer dollar with Section 8 housing, built up a business and when his properties went upside down under different LLC's he walked away from all his bad debt, the properties were sold, then he received compensation for "managing" them. He's cleverly used Bankruptcy Laws and Section 8 to make a billion dollars for him and Ross, and they both continue to use our public land, taxpayer money and claim to be "self made". That's not self made, they clever at using OUR money.

Naming the museum after Perez is an absolute joke. If I remember correctly, he didn't give any money. He just gave paintings that I think are greatly overinflated in their supposed value. The taxpayers gave many times Perez's meager donation. The museum should be called the Taxpayer's Art Museum.

Miami-Dade taxpayers are forced to pay over $300 Mil to the Miami Art Museum and the City of Miami taxpayers were forced to give up a $100 Mil piece of waterfront park land. Forced by lying scheming politicians. Then MAM's Board accepted $5 mil from condo salesman Jorge and suddenly MAM was renamed.
