Picture of the day. By Geniusofdespair

Might be a victory sign, but this photo from the South Dade News Leader just happens to have the rabbit ears over Lynda Bell's head.

Anyone know who's there?

The South Dade News Leader? I wouldn't even insult my birds by lining their cage with that piece of garbage. What is their circulation? 10 locations, maybe 20? I mean, how'd you even find that thing?

It's interesting that I cannot find a restaurant inspection of "the whistle stop" in Homestead. There's a bar/restaurant in Islamorada with the same name, 14 violations. I wonder if they're affiliated. I'm also curious as to why is it the Hotel Redland if it's in the middle of Homestead? And why the name change from the original money pit of Redland Hotel?

How do I get the financials to find out if they've actually made mortgage payments or is that hidden since the Bells set up a corporation for the Hotel along with DuBois (allegedly) setting up a mortgage company to finance the purchase.

Any accounting for the CRA money which equals the down payment for the purchase of this dump?

In any event, if I voted in Homestead, I'd support Porter with all my might. At least he'll be held with his feet to the fire. Bell's (Lynda) reign of terror on the City will continue like before she was termed out by the voters with Glen Beck paranoia, who is one of Mark Bell's favorite authors according to his old facebook page.

Good luck Homestead. Glad I don't live there and hope one day you will truly get your City back and not be used like your are now and will be in the future if you don't turn out to vote, you get what you get!

Watch the AB's. Hopefully Porter has a better machine in place then Bell and better lawyers to challenge if that's what the election hinges on because no one I talk to down there wants a thing to do with the Bell's and wish they'd move to Palmetto Bay!

As to the first post, I'd like to know who but it's probably like his donor list and at least 20 of them would have been their immediate family!

This photo is worth a thousand words. The first thing I noticed was that Lynda was front and center and Mark seemed to fade into the background. Art imitates life.

Surprisingly, some of them appeared to have teeth...

Homestead is beyond pathetic... Either you get someone inexperienced or good old boys... Think I will write in a cartoon charter for Mayor...

This is what we do know in Homestead. Mark Bell got over 800 votes he could become the next Mayor of Homestead in November. Homestead better get out and vote for Porter the lesser of two evils because Mayor Mark Bell's wife will hold two positions Mayor of Homestead and Commissioner 8. WOW!

800 votes is unbelievably low and less 5% of the registered voters there. I'll be surprised if 2,000 voters vote. This is truly pathetic. Is that City still so depressed they're just apathetic?

Homestead is forever screwed no matter who is elected. I see Castillo out front (see picture next to Bell)! He's nastier then Bell herself.

Castillo is packing on the pounds. Look at that nitwit Mark holding up the flag. Like patriotism has anything to do with him being in a runoff.

Marky Mark couldn't find the Confederate flag.

The mortgage company was closed imediately after the mortgage was in place and the mortgage was forgiven because it was money funded by the people connected to Red Linn Mortgage. Pay Offs and shady dealings to say the least...
