Keeping Tabs on Mark Bell "The Candidate". By Geniusofdespair

Mark Bell's first words as a candidate for Homestead Mayor as printed in the South Dade News Leader:
“I am partly concerned about the future of the city and the direction it is going in,” Bell said when asked why he is running. “I think there needs to be a change and I think I’m the one who can bring that change.”

Bell stated his main concern is the economic development of the City of Homestead.

“I believe in transparency and accountability,” Bell said. “We also need to improve with economic development as far as downtown Homestead and our parks are concerned. I know there were millions of dollars in cost over-runs for Mayor Roscoe Warren Park. That was extra money we did not need to spend.”
County Commissioner Lynda Bell is Mark Bell's wife.

This hillbilly clown can't even put a grammatically correct sentence together.

That said, he's a shoe-in.

Lynda told him what to say, 1st anon. I'm surprised he could pronounce "economic development". What makes me laugh "I believe in transparency and accountability." I say, let's start with this loan to buy the Redland Hotel from a mortgage company which seemed to have sprouted overnight according to the public records from DuBois and the bottom dollar purchase price less than the appraised value of the land itself because of the zoning then the 20k received from the CRA, etc. And, of course, the unheard of low down on a commercial piece of property banks wouldn't give a dime on. Yes, let's start right there. Mark can go first. And, please don't forget Lynda approved the CRA funds to Homestead first.

I think you meant to say Homestead mayoral candidate Mark Bell is Lynda Bell's wife.

Mrs. Bell and first lady Mr. Bell

I sort of feel sorry for Mark. I think he is a pawn in Lynda Bell's power trip. Living with a scheming megalomaniac is probably hard to deal with for anyone. Too bad he got pulled in to her plan and wasn't allowed to remain on the sidelines. I don't think his gaffes should be ridiculed, he is clearly in WAY over his head. I would like it, since we all know this is about Lynda getting control of the city of Homestead, to cut him some slack. I don't mean that you should vote for him, but he is already dealing with one ball buster, treat him with more respect.

Treat him with respect??? His name is on the mortgage for the hotel. He is the one who received what I was told was $25,000 from Lynda's CRA for work to be done on the building facade. Any work done on the facade recently?

It's his choice to follow her direction.

Does one blame the puppet or the puppeteer?

I did think Bell (Male) was a puppet when I read the article, because his words "transparency and accountability" are the same exact words Lynda Bell used when she went after Frank Nero.

The mortgage on the Redland Hotel will come out during the campaign, trust me on that. And if there is any doubt the mortgage company was created for Bell's Hotel, just look at the name:

Redinn Mortgage...in other words: "Red Inn"

You may think of Mark Bell as just a puppet following orders. However, I recall that's what the Nazi High Command used as an excuse at the Nuremberg trials for all their crimes against humanity.

Redinn Mortgage Company - Isn't that the mortgage company John Dubois (vice mayor of Palmetto Bay) created to help out his fellow elected commissioner.

Geniusofdespair said...

John Dubois's name is not on the mortgage company. His partner in other corporations is the only officer on it.

Now I understand the reason Senor Mark Bell does not favor himself. He is the husband of Senora Lynda Bell.
