You must attend this summit to get control of Transportation Bond Money. By Geniusofdespair

Most of you stupidly voted for a transportation bond in November 2002 (I didn't, I never vote for bonds). Now follow through and get control of how the money is spent. We have a Citizen's Independent Trust. Did you even know that much? Make sure they know what YOU want for the community. Give them guidance on transit with your attendance.

2013 Transportation Summit
Visioning the Future of Miami-Dade County’s Public Transportation
Thursday, June 6, 2013 - from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus (Downtown Miami)
Chapman Conference Center (Room 3210, Building 3)

The Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) in conjunction with Miami Dade County is hosting a Summit, designed to begin the dialogue to develop a shared vision about the next major transit investments in our community, and features:

• A Community Visioning Forum to engage the public and obtain public input on the future of transit development in Miami-Dade County
• The Mayor delivering a Keynote Address
• Local, national and international experts and stakeholders participating as panelists for Breakout Sessions
• An indoor and outdoor Showcase including many transportation agencies and partners

In my opinion the word "TRUST" has people hoodwinked. Its just another slush fund for years to come. I have never voted for any of the balloon funds or bonds. Miami Dade County has more bonds/trust funds and still begging.

We already have it. That fact is not going to change. It is an obligation for you to make sure it is spent in the best manner. You can't just sit on the sidelines and complain. You have to take some power...and go to this event.

I am new to this so pardon my ignorance. Who much of Miami Dade does this cover? All of it, only certain areas, Miami Beach, not Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Miami shores, City of Miami?????

Thanks!
